mario is a videogame. animated avatars are from videogames. a now you want comicbook avatars. "oh look, it's already bad, let's just add some more decline".

At this point why not just remove all avatars and allow posters to pick their own custom image.

It's not either of our decision, so haters aren't going to matter either way. Regardless, I think a "must be a videogame" rule is pretty reasonable

Oh, and we've got star wars concept art now, so the rule you guys are talking about was completely broken by staff. You can't really think one of the seminal HeavyMetal illustrators, who inspired early Ridley Scott, is decline ffs.

Should at least be able to tie them to video games in some way, beyond loose inspirations. It is the RPG Codex so PnP RPG stuff makes sense, and of course because DND is key to CRPGs, and Rogue Trader PnP stuff because there are tons of W40K games, etc.

I think those Star Wars concept arts should be removed because they are specifically made for the Star Wars movies.

Why not make avatars of Brom illustrations? Since he has a ton of stuff directly related to games, like Dark Sun illustrations and cover art for MageSlayer etc.
