Are you going to retcon your own 10-year-old setting to make it politically correct, HACKsidian?

I mean. They specifically call out that Eora's races can not interbreed, so definitionally they are in fact different species.

Unlike D&D where dragons, humans, elves, and orcs are the same species*, as evidenced by dragon-blooded sorcerers, half-elves, and half-orcs. This also means D&D dragons are mammals and should canonically have tits.

*Prior to 2023 when WotC banned miscegenation and retconned half-elves and half-orcs out of existence.
