I'm level 13 and my max stat is Speech at 14. Probably from all the endless yapping while following main quest until Kuttenberg. Still don't even have enough Strength (11/13) to meet requirements for the sword I have equipped, Basilard. I think I can say this game is easy mode considering I barely had any trouble in any of the fights despite using weapons I don't even have required stats for pretty much entire game. All I had to do was make sure I never run out of stamina. So perfect block + riposte few times then move around a bit for stamina to regenerate, repeat.

I really cannot be arsed to do all the side quests, I had this same issue with first game where most of the side shit just bored me.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.

The best and fastest way to level strength is get super encumbered (as much as possible) and walk around for like five minutes. The XP gain at the max fat is borderline busted so use it before it's fixed.

And yeah, game is very easy, except for the early stages when you don't know what you're doing. As for the block/riposte strat, it's better, albeit slightly riskier, to use ripostes as starting points for simple combos.

Yep they said many times in interviews they went into developing the first game knowing the setting and stories aren't gonna appeal to everyone. In reality their sales expectations were crazy modest, they were completely flabbergasted when the first game sold a million copies in a week. From the very start it's been a pure, unadulterated passion project and from various interviews you get the sense they would've been perfectly happy if the sales just covered the costs and some change.

I for one wouldn't want all my RPGs grounded and realistic, set in some niche historical place and period, but as a palate cleanser and change-of-pace KCD is absolutely phenomenal. PLUS the writing is fucking great, especially compared to all the currentday Western gloop, so I for one can't get enough of the adventures and stories in that world.

That said I'm already very much looking to my Shin Megami Tensei 3 playthrough I've got lined up next, expecting some prime cuts of trademark Japanese wackiness.

I just discovered that I can fully afford to play at 120 hz, and kurva, it's amazing with VRR on! Everything on Ultra + Character Detail on Experimental, 4K resolution on an LG OLED CX10.

they did make a big deal about how this time it's 'your Henry' and implied more roleplaying options

They just wanted to justify the gay sex. When I poke holes in the 'your Henry, more options' I was told that 'it won't make sense. It would take more work from devs"

Maybe if devs didn't focus so much on adding Musa, saving Jews being the only choice and gay sex options then they would've had more time to put in actual good options in the game. Like joining the Sigismund and his merry band

Writing is definitely better than average for games but it doesn't strike me as great either. Some parts even made me cringe a bit. It feels like a downgrade from first game in that regard. It's definitely less "grounded and realistic" now. I disliked all the jerking off to Godwin. Oh wow what a cool guy he is. Zizka calling him "proper priest" after finding out he drinks. At least I liked finding out he's been sacked from his duties because of his stupid antics with Henry in first game, that's well deserved. Also Zizka saying Katherine is more dangerous than any of his men. Right.. That's just what a medieval military commander would say about a fucking woman. Fuck Zizka, stupid character. I liked Von Bergow better, but of course game won't allow me to be on his side.

Yeah, man, Godwin setting a good example for others by being a drunken whoremongering priest.
What a proper and moral christian, right?
What dumb caricatures...

I liked Dry Devil though.
A shameless, bloodthirsty, foul mouthed badass who kills and robs people for the lulz (and the money).
Also the "baddies" von Bergow, Markvart von Aulitz and Sigismund (though he has so little screentime).

A liberal pepik like Vavra would never allow you to join your forces against Zizka, its probably his hero. Hussites were also in cahoots with jews.
