Tactical Battle Chronicles: Prelude to a War is now available on Steam for those who love a combat heavy, turn based, party based tactical CRPG. It can currently be obtained at a 10% discount through April 14th, which makes the price $13.49US. Here's some trailer action and a bit of the about:

Tactical Battle Chronicles: Prelude to a war is a turn-based tactical rpg where you control a small group of fighters. Recruit allies and defeat your enemies to drive the bandits off.

Recruit Allies
You can't defeat the bandits alone. Encounter friendly fighters and reluctant enemies and persuade them to join you in your quest to gain new tactical options.

Command Your Units
Positioning your units carefully is key. Block your enemies to protect weak allied units or use your strong fighters to lure in enemy units to split up the bandits' forces. Fight wisely to defeat your opponents despite unfavourable odds.

Only thing missing is destructible terrain.

Trailer gives off some nice Fire Emblem vibes, however, that art style is horrendous and the movement is too slow. Making the movement faster as well as sprucing up the eye-candy in all regards (sprites, backgrounds, and UI) would make this much more tempting. In its current state, I probably won't pick it up.

I feel like this game's name was made in one of those random name generators.

The dev should've drawn the character sprites in a top-down perspective like in Hotline Miami and Dreamweb.
