You look at Fallout 3, there are a lot of old-school PC clues -- reading text, going into old computer screens. It's charming in a way. Old-school PC games have a lot of depth, and I think we definitely bring that.</blockquote>

Whow, Fallout 3 is indeed old school  . Honestly, I don't think the game will be an utterly despicable piece of shit as most people around here do, but this emil schmuck trying to play the "old school" card on his COD4/Oblivion inspired fps/rpg hybrid is just way too laughable.

So Fallout 3 is reminiscent of old computer games because you have to read text? I mean, wtf?

"Oh, reading. How quaint. Do you remember reading, dear?"

"Yes? Well this game is asking me to actually do some. How delightfully reminiscent of the innocence of my youth. It takes me back to those gaming things. What were they called? Can you remember dear?"

"Of course! Pee Sees. How could I forget. Weren't they the ones invented by that Sir Alan Sugar fellow?"

I'm guessing he's really trying to make an effort to reach out to their PC user base, but it does come across as being more than a little patronising.

Oh well that changes everything. My whole perspective on Fallout 3 has been flipped on it's head and I find myself in a new world of mystery and adventure. :?

Yeah, one really gets the impression that redding, while teh hard, is going to be a quaint but non-essential and fairly useless detail. Just what your average console player wants, eh?

...so Emil basically said that console gamers are dumb? By implying that reading text is teh hardcore.
Bethesda laughs at its target audience openly and those retards will still buy their games.

I think he's saying everyone is dumb, by throwing this bullshit out in public. FO3 is not a tribute to "old-sk00l" pc gaming, and reading is not some quaint little PC gimmick you can throw into your console blockbuster as a mini-game. I'm amazed at how Beth continues to effortlessly churn out stupid by the gallons, constantly outdoing themselves.

And when they're porting for the PS he will suddenly turn in to a fan of the PS.
