PC Arena has written yet another positive review for Silent Storm, giving it a 4/5 rating. Oddly enough, I couldn't find anything in the body of this piece on what the author didn't like about the game, so I guess that's shrouded in mystery for all time. Anyway, here's a clip of the happy parts:

Each player you take around with you has different stats. They have different attributes like strength, dexterity, intelligence and vitality points. Skill assets include shooting, sniping, engineering and interrupting. Both attributes and skills can be increased in two ways. One way is through experience, and the more your character uses or tries different things, the better he or she will get at performing them. The other materializes as you progress through the game’s tech tree - your character can then acquire special abilities and increase their various skills in certain areas. Other abilities can also give you different ways of firing or moving.

Rather interesting system it employs. Use drives basic skills, plus you get things like Fallout's Perks as well.
