The weekend is at an end and so is our prestigious <b><a href="http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=42135" target="blank">Arcanum Steampunk Semi-Erotic Fanfiction Contest</a></b>. Without further ado, here are our winners:
<br>
<blockquote><li>GarfunkeL - for a touching example of a mother's love</li>
<br>
<li>Gragt - for bringing new meaning to the word "cocktail"</li>
<br>
<li>Callaxes - who failed to complete a story, but nonetheless did a bang up job of setting the mood</li></blockquote>
<br>
These fine upstanding citizens will need to PM me the email address they want the GOG gift certificate sent to as well as a game they want if it's anything other than Arcanum. If you don't mention a game, I'll assume you want Arcanum.
<br>
<br>
Special mention goes to Jarl for creeping everybody out and WholesaleGenocide for managing to actually receive negative points for making us read Elder Scrolls furry porn.
<br>
<br>
Congratulations!

How much did GOG pay you, Jason?

You're supporting people who profit from selling no-CD cracks, FFS.

Wouldn't the no-cd cracks be covered by some sort of copyright? If so, then I highly doubt GOG has asked the Scene groups for permission to use their cherished IP. The scene groups should sue.

I actually liked the short piece by Monocause the most. It was amazingly like an excerpt from a retarded ogres journal, short, not pornographic and the only one that actually made me laugh.

You can't seriously believe that illegal modifications are protected by copyright.

Wow. I. I. I didn't expect this. Thanks a lot guys!

Jason! Could we send Mr. Avellone a copy of Arcanum with a note or PM saying "Please don't take this the wrong way"?

Edit: Or something funny that will make him play it like "You can bang a sheep without having to testify to a judge".

Yup, we could have torrented it but no, we had to write fancy stories that publicly showed the depths of our depravation.

It was really phenominal. The story by GarfunkL was my favorite by far, simply because of the descriptions in some areas (the physical appearance of the women and the character's own embarrassment) as well as leaving it open enough for us to have our own imagination about things. It was a good balance between the two I think, and the story of a mother's love was really well thought out.
Interesting how decadent Tarant society had become, but personally I wanted more, specifically what the main character witnesses when the prince arrives, etc, etc.
