Our <a href="http://www.rpgcodex.com/gallery.php?game=restrictedarea">Restricted Area Gallery</a> has been updated since <b>Jan Beuck</b> of <A href="http://www.master-creating.com">Master Creating</A> was nice enough to send us some screenshots of <A href="http://www.ra2083.com/">the game</a>. Here's two of the six shots:

In the future, big guys with hammers still annoy intrepid player characters. Well, until you blow them up.

I just like that the hacker character is busy working at her datapad while all that stuff is going on around her. It's rather funny in a few of the screenshots the way that looks.

It looks to me like the camera is too close to the PC. In an action RPG, I prefer to have lots more area on screen so I can see the hordes of baddies approaching. Why have it so close?

Why, to nerf ranged combat, of course.

(As a guess)

aye. looks pretty normal to me too. isn't there a gameplay video released some time ago where PC runs around and shoot at shambling zombies and inexplicably but conveniently placed explosive barrels? I aboslutely hate this type of game.

Wasnt RA somehow ...erm..sci-fi-like game? Shadowrun style and cyber-punk were the keywords I heard..wtf is there a hammer and half-naked ogre-guy doing on the pics? Hacking?

Why is the chick in the pic on the left wearing a starfleet uniform?

You know, you're absolutely right. What's more, it's a command uniform, so there should be a helm console or some underlings around. Damn this game for its inattention to Star Trek canon!

Ditto, looked red on my lcd. But the tailoring is still pretty much the same.
