There's a two week old update on the NUVIE website which I've repeatedly been side tracked in posting which details the strides the Ultima 6 engine work alike has produced since July. Here's a bit on what's new:

Added FM-Towns audio conversations. You can now listen to all the U6 characters speak their converse dialog. You must have a copy of the FM-Towns version of U6 for this feature to work. (Only the english voice tracks are supported at this time.)

Save game descriptions. You can now enter a description when saving.

Use Rune.

Use Sextant. This will tell you your world location when used on the surface plane.

Use Balloon Plans. If you have the required parts you can build a balloon.

Use Balloon. The party can now fly around Britannia in a balloon. The player currently has full control of the balloon's movement. Eventually the balloon will drift along with the prevailing wind direction. (Wind hasn't been implemented yet.)

Added egg spawning time check. Eggs now spawn their contents at the correct time of day.

Started work on Actor health and combat.

The party is now teleported back to LB's castle when the avatar dies.

Inventory objects are moved into the dead body container when an actor dies.

Added actor resurrection. You can now resurrect dead actors by taking them to a healer. We still need to work out how to rejoin party members after they have been resurrected.

Sleeping at Inns. The party can now spend the night at an inn. The screen will fade to black as the player goes to sleep. Time is advanced to 5:46A.M. the next day.

Startup fade-in. The map window now fades in on initial startup.

Added letters underneath key objects when displayed in the inventory view. Nuvie supports key letters from 'A' to 'P'.

Added support for object quantities greater than 255. You can now buy those costly items at shops. ;-)

Added lightsources around actors who have lit torches readied. (Torch support still needs a bit of work.)

Lots of other bug fixes.

So, the party is teleported to a Korean MMORPG development studio when the avatar dies?
