Bethblog yesterday announced Dawnguard, a piece of downloadable content (or even an expansion pack maybe?) for Skyrim coming this summer...

...to Xbox 360.

Other platforms, including the PC, will only get it a month later. Which makes it what they call a "timed exclusive."

Apart from the teaser picture posted at the Bethblog, nothing is known about the new content yet. "More details at E3," says Bethesda, so I guess we'll have to wait until then. Meanwhile, you are free to speculate if you feel like it.

So, getting to pay for a DLC earlier than everyone else is considered a privilege these days?

Sounds like a full expansion pack rather than dlc if they are going to hype it at E3. Either way, even hyping an expansion pack at E3 sounds stupid.

Could be a proper expansion something like SI, but they left to many holes, so I guess the Blades could be a topic or not, wonder when does it take place .

1) Bethesda gets a kickback from Microsoft (jews jewing jews)
2) We get a full month to point & laugh at the consoletards and realize the expansion is banalshitboring and not worth paying jewgold for.

Divinity: Original Sin Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Frankly I'm surprised it took them this long.

It's an intelligent move, from a sales point of view. You keep the gamers from preventing to sell their Skyrim copies as long as you can with an inevitable DLC (or even better an expansion pack), therefore maximizing sales.

They already have steam to do that for them, don't they? Nah, they just want to make some quick money without effort, they'd be daft not to. The mod support they offer kinda fucks that up a bit since they can't sell overpriced OP weapons and armor sets as easily though, but mods are a big selling point of their games so what can they do?

Just wait for the next Elder Scrolls which will dump modability because it is "too much effort" and not really "implementable in the engine".

Ha ha to true.:troll: Still you can look at Bio and what their low mod tolerance did them. Hell who plays or even replays DA2 when it has minimal replay value. DAO still has active modding comunity, altough Sapho's Daughters can be amusing like Lovers Lab is to most Beth games.

I predict dragon mounts, so they can steal the steam from under Dragon's Dogma, a similar competitor, when the GOTY edition comes out.
