Taluntain writes in with some shameless self-promotion, informing us that Sorcerers Place's - you know, that website he runs (yeah, neither do I) - has put up video walkthroughs for Wizardry 6, 7 and 8:

With today's release of our Wizardry 8 video walkthrough, we now have the last three parts of the Wizardry series covered. If you've missed the Wizardry 6 and Wizardry 7 walkthrough announcements, follow the links.

Wizardry 8 is the fourth guide that Beren has integrated gameplay videos throughout. A big thank-you as usual goes to Montresor for a good deal of editorial and technical work on getting the guide online.

We believe that the guide is complete and free of (major) errors, but as with any other new feature, something may have slipped our attention. If you spot any such problems, please report them to the author.

Enjoy the Wizardry 8 Walkthrough!

Here's the original Sorcerer's Place thread. The walkthroughs do look pretty cool, I gotta admit.

Good to see new stuff at Sorcerer's Place, even though my romance with the Wizardry series is probably finished for good. Now I am old and prefer to watch (Crooked Bee's LPs).

I've played and beat Wiz 1 and 2. Didn't play 3 because the description sounded weird. Sounded like you had to change alignments every floor, and that can take forever in those games.

Thinking of trying 6-8. Been putting them off for awhile now.

I still remember the time when Sorcerer's Place was a fine site. Nowadays it spams you with ads and unskippable video ads so that its pretty much unusable.

Funny... and I thought we had pretty much the same number of ads for the last 5+ years and the video ads can be skipped with a click. But what do I know...

Are you sure the video ads can be skipped? I wanted to download some mods and it didn't look like the video ads very skippable and I sure tried.

Huh, this is weird... they seem to have silently removed the skip button. It was still there only a short while ago when I checked last. I'm going to look into this, thanks for bringing it up.

Ah, Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant. Also known as one of the greatest computer role-playing games ever made! And probably had the best cliffhanger of any RPG saga. Had to wait 10 years to conclude the story in Wizardry 8, and even was able to import the same party. (Kept the Wiz7 end game save file vigilantly stored on a 3.5 floppy.) That was such rare foresight on the part of the sir-tech developers.

I'll be checking out these LP videos for the stomp down memory lane.

Harumph!

Did they censor the boobies in Wizardry VI?

:troll:
