What's this, then? It seems the folks at GameStar.de have been careless and left a gallery containing thirteen Project Eternity screenshots open to the public. Let's check 'em out (click to enlarge):

Over at the Obsidian forums, Josh Sawyer remarked:

As a note, those are all work-in-progress shots that were intended for (small) use in print. None of those are finished areas. Even the "original" area is still having work done on it.

Hey, they look great to me, Josh. Why didn't you attach them to today's boring-ass Kickstarter update?

I wonder if the mouse wheel zoom will work on locations and objects not related to our character...

I'm surprised there aren't more complaints about the obviously realtime 3D-rendered appearance of the characters.

Location
Codex 2012 Serpent in the Staglands Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Codex USB, 2014 Shadorwun: Hong Kong
Architecture of buildings looks a little too stylized, and the terrain is smeared and photoshoppy. Whatever. It's okay, but not multiple orgasm worthy.

Since the character models in BG where basically 3D models converted into sprites, I don't think it's a cause for major complaints. Also weren't the char. models in TOEE fully 3D ?

There is a lot of detail still missing, and of course locations are unpopulated.

But damn, there actually are some other locations. Not just concepts, actual locations. It's not a scam!

I'm just hoping it is more like Mask of the Betrayer and less like IWD in terms of balance between combat and story.
