So how is the game? Another underrated gem or? This thread is surprisingly quiet unlike LS' Sekiro thread or that Allahu Akbar blobber with rocs and genies.
No codex reviews incoming?

It's curious how we're all working men and we spend way much more on other stuff (I assume) and yet we find the price tag too high. I didn't buy it for the same reason however - in comparison to the other games I buy (€5-€15/ game) I don't think I'd get my €29 worth of it. I'd be tempted at €15...

I didn't buy it because the trailer and screenshots don't really show much of anything really. A few locations, interesting spell usage..and that's about it.

"A Quest That Became Legend" came out on Steam just over a week ago, but I'm still dedicated to making updates based on the feedback.

What is with that HP numbers? Some random Ooze and 6300 HP, armor class 430.
Is that normal in this game? Are we in JRPG section?
I thought about buying but this put's me off.

it's not exciting me that much

:keepmymoney:
edit: is it even selling enough to be able to do that thing that we all can't talk about but do anyway?

Too much else to play at the moment - I've got BG3, Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen, JA3, Shadow Gambit all in various stages of completion at the moment...and nowhere near enough time to take on anything else.

:whatho:

This game is nearly 40 gigs the fuck?!
Hidden 4K bear fucking cutscenes
:shitposting:

Edit: I remember King Arthur: Knight's Tale size was bloated too and then they did optimize this shit a bit. Probably learned how to compress and extract assets dynamically.

More portraits than needed but 70% AI generated elves that all look the same. Wanted to redo a character, didn't seem possible, had to redo the entire party. Didn't really give a good impression. Tried to ignore the road and beeline towards the first village, ran into an invisible wall. Followed the road, first goblin took more hits to kill than one would expect. Another red flag, but at least it looked nice. Then auto regen out of combat. Got into town, NPCs just stood in place looking at one direction. Meh, uninstalled at that point. It seemed rough and needed more work.

that familiar feeling of something that i was relatively looking forward to being a disappointment, only in the gaming world do i experience this on a regular basis.

the ui should've tipped us all off, low effort looking; another w8 wannabe without understanding (even i can't put my finger on it) what made those game so good.

The game is very low effort,it is painful. Skill mastery give you like 10% more damage or armour per level and there is 4 levels. Inventory depends on stats,so you could have a mage with heavy armour and warhammer even without having a level in those thing. Won't be much of a difference,at most will miss on those 10%-40% armour increase from the mastery.

Also the enemy armour system is broken, you need to stat pump for your guys to not be useless. For example, only my archer could do any range damage since the others don't have the damage bonus given by dex to make any damage, thus they do 0 damage with bows. My melee warrior could do only melee damage, while mages could only magic damage.
There is enemy HP bloat,on top of the broken armour system. You start with enemy of 100ish hp,then 250 and now around 400-600 with 100 armour. Armour is more or less negates any damage beneath it.So my archer have around 130 damage and does around 30-40 damage after armour. Magic tho ignores the armour,it depends on resistance.

Spells are fine tho half arsed. For example there is a poison spell and some toxic water spell that do damage per turn. Pretty good, tho both of them do damage to undeads, like a fucking skeleton lol. Yeah, skeletons get poisoned and their blood turns toxic

Another shit thing is that weapons are worthless. For example me ranger that does around 130 damage....well his weapon does between 5-8 damage, the rest is dex and skills lol.

The writing is very generic, not in the type of MM or wizardry adventure type of generic. It is there to just look like it exist and to click a button to give you a quest. It wouldn't have been a problem if it had some decent side content or exploration or the cobmat was fun. The world for now is just some mobs thrown around to give you XP and that is it. Dungeons are very samemy for now.

Yeah. Gave it another go thinking maybe I was being unfair to it by dropping it as soon as I saw the lifeless NPCs but no, the game just has nothing going for it.

yup its very clunky and doing anything for example opening / closing map (which is awful need to zoom in every time) or equipping gear requires too much effort. going to test it again next year see if they have improved anything but it is a refund for now. think this might be the first "blobber" I have ever refunded.

also recommended memory 32 gb  even cyberpunk has 16 gb.

I guess HP isn’t the only thing bloated in this game. What a resource piggy!
