What is your consensus on mods? If I try to play skyrim with some mods and use your program, will it be alright for the study or does it have to be vanilla?

Also, idk, I don't really wanna play witcher 3 (cause I hate it) or skyrim (cause I kinda hate it) or shadow of mordor (cause 1 playthrough of that stuffed me). Can I use your program on something like morrowind?

I'd prefer if prefer if mods which affects the gameplay was not used, as I think I'd in the thesis would need to write every mod setup each participant has, and what each mod does. It could as well be a problem that playthrough doesn't represent any average playthrough if every setup is very different.

I'll allow playing Morrowind. One of the questions the program gives after the play-session, is which of the games you played, so I've added morrowind as a choice if you use the version below. It doesn't seem like my program's overlay of keys & types appears when Morrowind is in fullscreen, so either play Morrowind windowed, or find a mod that can make Morrowind run in borderless mode. (The games that I've chosen was chosen because they're highly popular, which should mean more responses)

This is why game design studies are useless and you're better off studying something like history and then going into game design with a fresh mind not ruined by the shit they push on you in game design university.

This. Major in programming or some shit and get a minor in art, history, or sociology. Imagine how much more interesting AAA games would be if they were about the human condition rather than a blood-and-tits slot machine featuring the same regurgitated bullshit about dragons and elves with adolescent political discourse that's basically just, "Gosh, American politics sure are a thing!"

Enough with the gay elf democrats, dwarves who live in mountains, and Jewy, useless gnomes. Do something interesting for once.

I think studying ants would give the exact same data as Open World RPG players.
