Well, 4's the theoretical max you can get a day, provided you visit the site exactly every 6 hours. Practically you can't really got more than 3, and even for that you'd have to be checking the site throughout the entire day.

Those fucking idiotic "you will be redirected to the Codex in 9 seconds" ads need to fucking die. They're more offensive than Lindsey Lohan naked, and they're more intrusive than an unwanted prostate exam. Even if it means another donation drive, get the fuck rid of that shit.
Yeah, this shit goes away NOW or I research how to kill your ads and then post the information regularly to the masses.

You just skip past the ads by simply click the two (TWO!) links at the top of the ad, or were you too busy getting all the sand out of your vagina to notice?

Unfortunately, there's a problem with how Firefox handles opening links, so if you ctrl+link click, you apparently get one every time.
You don't interstitials (damn I hate typing that word) every time. It's just that instead of opening the link in a new tab, it opens in a new tab AND starts loading that page for the page you're looking at.

So if I'm looking at the forum index and I ctrl-click the new forum, it'll open the news forum in a new tab but it'll ALSO start loading the news forums in my current open windo, instead of staying on the forum index and letting me open other forums.
Apparently, it still works well when you right click on the link and choose "Open link in new tab".
Please, do something about it. It's getting extremely annoying.

Well, I've had more like 4 per minute during the last couple of visits (I'm using IE6). More seriously, I've had them pop up about every 1 out of 4 clicks on a thread or forum link. For worthwhile sites I'm generally pretty patient but by the second or third interruption, I just leave this place.

If you're using IE, then the only reason why that could be happening is because you're not allowing cookies, or your cookie settings are messed up. The frequency of showing is capped in the code, so if you're getting more than 4 a day, the problem is on your end.

I don't mind the ads, I usually click the banner(s) whenever I visit, but I just don't like the things they advertise for, like "Get the most advanced created smilies for FREE!". They're not even smilies, they're little yellow faces on legs doing all sorts of things, like laughing and banging the floor, I feel like an idiot when clicking ads like that, as if I'm in any way interested in advanced created 3D smilies.

But silly shit aside, the only real complaint I have, is that I can no longer ctrl+shift+click links (Opera), to open them in the background, they just open in the same window. I use that a lot, so it's a real bitch to do without.

Heck, lately I'm also having troubles viewing this forum with Opera. No matter how I configure cookies, when right-click and "Open link in a new page" (the link is in my email in another tab), I never get logged in - but when I copy/paste the link to a new tab, everything works ok. I'd be damned if I knew why it happens; I didn't change anything in the configuration and one day it just stopped working. (I use Opera 8.52.)

There is an EXTREMELY annoying banner on the main page of a clown. Bad enough it can induce an epileptic seizeure, but it includes an annoying clown laugh and clown HONK-HONK horn. I never realized ads could fucking control what comes out of your PC speakers. WTF.

It's fairly big. It reads "Hit the clown and get a free cell-phone ring-tone".

I've changed my bookmark to take me to the forums since I can't handle the front page ClownCodex. Can't we just have game-ads? or porn? or cut-rate tabacco? Anything that doesn't involve stupid clowns, the crapbox360 or smileys would be just fine. And if it's really not possible, eject the clown and his buddies and I'll make a donation.

Well, "fairly big" doesn't help much. There are two ad sizes on the site, the banner and the "square". Which one was it? Now I want to see it just out of curiosity. I realize many people have a phobia of clowns...

Like Ave, Elwro, Rat Keeng, and the rest, I'd like the middle-click button back.

You said size, not shape; it's clearly a non-square rectangle and appears as a "banner" higher up than the "square" ads. But trust me, you'll know it when you hear it....

No phobia of clowns, but if I access the site at work, the last thing I want is "hahahahahaa HONK-HONK" cranking through my PC speakers.

And today we have popup windows, using Firefox work-arounds. What's tomorrow? A questionnaire before getting to the forums?

I understand the need for revenue to keep the site going, but I felt like I clicked an MSN link today trying to reach the forums:

1. Clown HONK HONK
2. Interfuckal ad
3. Popup window

This is getting gay very fast.

Yeah, the noise ads HAVE to go. ITs not even like you have to scroll your mouse over it to set it off, annoying as those are, this one just replays FOREVER.
