One thing I don't miss are old floppies. Seriously.

The floppys a total pain ? Ah no child, the floppy was a godsend, a GODSEND, compare to the c64 tape recorder i started with. Now you were waiting 30 min to play a game coop with a friend...and sometimes the loading failed.

And if you had neither floppies nor disk, you had to fucking type that goddamn listing EVERY TIME.

But rediscovering everything would be pretty much the whole point ; also, these old computers of old do not have wide distribution and this can be a strong deterrent to most people.

Okay, I am willing to settle for Amiga, Apple II, Commodore 64, and old PC clones.

Although what I miss most are the CRT and the sounds of old floppy and hard disks.

As a ZX Spectrum owner, we didn't get these fancy, purpose built tape recorders. We had to buy some random piece of crap and just hope that it worked.

On the other hand, at least they were faster. When they worked at all of course. Fucking turboloaders and their need for nanoseconds of arc precision with the volume control...

Their Defender of the Crown was one of the first games I ever played. I still use its main tune as a ring tone for my best friend.

Everybody had a tape recorder at that time, though.

Them pony fags. In a slideshow of pixel graphics for C64.

Jesus fuck! I'm so sick of seeing those degenerates at every step! I want them all to die in a horrible way and go to hell. So they'll suffer eternally under hellish life support machinery, praying for oblivion while being raped by devil.

:x

It's the n- th time I see a thing like this. Pixel graphics... cool! And then a pony abomination shows up. Arrrgh! As if the traditional poor attempts at manga weren't bad enough. Don't even try talking about artistic freedom. Nor about jokes, 'cuz hihih so witty and ironic aint it. Hell, no. It's the same shelf as gay shit porn. What the organizers are thinking!

:what:

Is this shit real? Who are those people? What is that place? Jesus.

Lyric Suite expresses his thoughts in a very mysterious way. Though I bet it's about the same problem I'm referring to. I agree with him.

Silly floppy sheeple. With consoles all you had to do was plug in a cartridge and wait 10 seconds.

I was still using a tape deck when people started buying Amigas. Eventually I bought a floppy drive off some guy for a fiver. Unfortunately I didn't bother testing it out at his house first, or I would have known that it couldn't load 90% of games and chewed up most of the other floppies.
