Nicely done, Gragt.

Nothing but incline from Larian and from Codex. Times are a-lookin' up, lads.

Dragon Commander too? It's not that I expected anything great from this title (when I was looking at the demos), but the least thing I expect in a game controlling flying dragons is gay marriages...
:killit:

"Hey we have this cool feature built in with naked boys doing it with each other, don't you like it? It enriches gameplay so much and we only had to remove some useless combat and tactical skills instead. Love and Peace everyone!"

Constitution is always the obvious dump stat.
Larian has combined constitution and charisma, one dump stat to rule them all?

Constitution is NEVER a dump stat unless you're a filthy savescummer.
Yeah, Constitution takes a whole new meaning when you start playing Ironman (from "fuck HP, I WANT EXTRA POWER" to "yeah, maybe 10 hp will save my ass someday"). Too bad so few games prohibit/dissuade savescumming. Dark Souls is an easy example: you know your 50000 souls and 5 humanities are on the line, so you start being cautious and using every tool in your arsenal instead of just rushing in, thinking "whatever, I can load anyway".

IE games fail massively in this aspect: you are pretty much supposed to die and savescum if you don't know the game. Raise Death is ridiculous and was clearly never supposed to be used as a standard mechanism (inventory on the floor, anyone?). If you lose any character, it's basically 99% reload and time for the usual mambo: "Ok there's a big group with a mage casting this and this, so I'd rather sleep, memorize these exact spells, buff my whole party this way and I'm gonna destroy them". This is a stupid mechanism and I'm sure there are plenty of things to do to improve the experience without dumbing down the game. The main problem is probably balance (the ones dying being penalized and/or the ones not dying gaining an advantage), but you can always fully enable the feature in harder difficulties when only the fittest are supposed to survive or find a clever system that circumvents the issue.

Also when (if?) playing co-op, your partner will likely get annoyed if you want to reload every couple of minutes.

Speaking of co-op. I was asking during the livestream earlier. Apparently the modules made with the toolset will allow up to 6 people in co-op.

Kodex dungeonkrawl, anyone? :incline:

An interesting bit is, as it's possible to edit the D:OS campaign with the toolset, it would be damn easy to make Original Sin play with 6 players instead of 2 players and 4 henchmen.

Can you imagine the insane decision trolling? 6 Codexians, 1 Quest Outcome. Jesus.

The dialogue in the OC is only written for two people though. I was mostly thinking about the crazy shenanigans 6 people could pull in grorious turn-based combat.

It never occurred to me, but this is an actual game where we could play with other codexers...........

Yeah, a predict a very interesting D:OS thread full of youtube videos. Also stuff like a 6-people codexian LP of some remakes like BG2, Ultima VII or whatever.... (hopefully those mods are made)
