Since the GERMAN beta patch v1.10 has been launched today (which adds and fixes tons of stuff), I'd like to know from a player and a codexer how this game really is.

Thanks in advance.

Here's an average translation...

It's been patched so much that it has to be at least a decent game at this point. I hope it eventually gets released in the US if it turns out to be any good. For 20 bucks, i'd play a mediocre Fallout clone.

I will probably get it regardless of quality. It sounds like semicrap, but it has some stuff that seems interesting so what the hell.

I am replaying arcanum - I forot how damn good that game is. Wasteland, too.

Hi syn.
Thanks for answering me and for joining us.

Now, if some of the guys here seems to be rude or desrespecting, don't worry as it's perfectly normal :D

Keep writing the review and answering questions. Cheers!

It is supposed to be astoundingly buggy, and it has a realtime combat system that seems a bit goofy and stupid, plus some stupid quests where you do things like fetch some firewood that is literally right outside the building you get the quest in....

I got it last year and it's a POS. You can read my rant here if you care...
That's why I stressed the PATCH part as the game got many fixes and improvements since March 2005 .

You didn't read the whole thread, huh? I also played it with v1.8 --> same bugfest, same crap.
The mini review as interesting, thanks.
I saw the Extended Version part but I'd like to see the perspective from a V1.10 player.
You can give it another try now :P

You didn't actually mention any bugs. You didn't seem to like its production values, but you didn't get into the game much beyond that so it's hard to say if it has anything redeeming....
Oh yeah? Must have been another thread then.... You know what? I fucking don't care anymore. It's a lifeless POS from what I can remember, whether with or without bugs. You better do yourself a favor and forget about it pretty quickly. Go play F1/F2 or call Bush to press the red button if you want to feel the post-apocalyptic mood again.

Hahaha. Well, maybe playing it will bring us one step closer....

No, you gotta realise that something already broken in it's essence (content, story, characters etc.) cannot be fixed with a mere patch.

Well, believe what you want.... YOU are eventually the losers if you don't listen to my wise words. You can rush out and get it at day one if you want, but don't whine around then that it sucks. Nuff' said.

played TF extd. version with speech last year. yes there were bugs in it, but in fallout there are bugs, too. There always bugs in it. Dont care for the bugs, care for the game. Thats my opinion, because life is to short to be mad, about anythin...

Exactly. That's the reason why you can explain the dumbfucks here why TF is teh Ãœbergame! I'm too tired for this.... I think I'll give my dog the discs for lunch, or to polish his teeth.... whatever.

Oh yeah? You should better stop trying to twist my words. I think F1/F2 are masterpieces, but you must tell me exactly where I said those games are a POS? And now please stop being an idiot.
