Great work, looking forward to my next play though.

Really would appreciate though if you could list what you think the best install order would be for the best Arcanum experience.

Thank you, this looks beautiful.

Slightly off topic: I always loved the art in Arcanum, especially the portraits, pictures of objects and early sketches of various classes. I was wondering if anybody knew who the artist responsible for this is? I'd really like to see some more of their work.
Boyarsky probably

After he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration (at Cal State Fullerton) and a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art (at Art Center College of Design), he worked as freelance artist for Interplay and Maxis in 1992.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Hope you enjoy the game a bit more now.

I'm curious, though, does the game slow down for anyone in higher resolutions? Are there any performance issues?

Also, if anyone has hardware to run the game in resolutions higher than 2048x1536, then I'd very interested to see the screenshots.

Thanks to you, Troika's legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of gamers.
You're an inspiration, Drog. :salute:

I'm running the game at 1024x768, no problems thus far.

Running it at 801 x 603 and it runs fine.

Seriously though, great job Drog.

Drog, it looks great! First time I've ever played Arcanum at native res. Damn, it looks so much better @1680x1050.

Thank you! :)

Seems to run much smoother with the patch and higher resolution, so no problems :)

Eh.. i don't know what im doing wrong, but it just doesn't work. After i double-click on Arcanum.exe in order to run the game, nothing happens - screen just blinks for a sec, and nothing. The exact same thing happens if i dont apply the no-cd (i have pirate ver since i lost my cds, loong time ago..). But i discovered that whetever i paste the crack or not, after patching Arcanum.exe changes it's dimension to 1.94mb (no matter what was the original size).

Any suggestions? I applied everything that was necessary, 1.0.7.4 patch, + hq music & towns + unofficial patch. And im running english version.

Help : (

ps
Ofcourse i tryied patching with and without the crack. The result is same.

You probably failed to enter a correct resolution. Happened to me when I entered 1240x1024 instead of 1280x1024.

Nope, i tried several times. And Drog said that the patch supports ANY resolution, so probably it would work anyway.

Any more ideas?

Great work, Drog - as always! :)

I'm having a slight problem though. After I've installed the patch, when I try to scroll in game, I get such weird artifacts:

Never had this before, even with UAP. Tried -no3d and it works like a charm, but still would like to know what could be wrong.

Hey, i had the same problem before - u should try to install older/oldest drivers for your video card (depending how old it is, ig. i installed drivers from 2007 for my 88gts).

And.. this solves like half of the problem, becouse still some missing/damaged textures remains. Meybe i (we) should try some other producer's drivers, meybe http://www.omegadrivers.net/. I think i gonna try l8er and see if it works (perhaps there's already a solution on the web, i havent searched, but it's 99% driver problem not game imho).

Looks like you're right - lowering hardware acceleration helped also, though the game became extremely sluggish. Will stick to -no3d for a time being - it's simpler than to switch to other drivers.
