Hello,

I play Arcanum in the German Version and I have the following problem:
I Am in the Black mines ( or similar ) in the main quest to find the dwarves. I have two companions, Virgil and Sogg Beersomething ( dont know his english name, a Half-ogre one found in the shrouded hills ). As i progress on in the mines their relationship to my Character worsenes so much that the ogre warned me that if i continue to be like that, he`ll quit.

I do not know however what i have done wrong or how i can improve the relationships again !!

Thanks in advance for the advice,
L.

You can give Sogg some wine to help him focus on something else, and talk to Virgil nicely to cheer him up a bit. That's the solution, now about the problem, did you do anything bad or something your companions can consider as bad? Killed somebody? What happened prior to Sogg's warning?

I only killed people who attacked me.

Thank you for the answer

If you provoked them, i.e. chose the dialogue option that leads to fighting, your companions might object to that, but like I said most of the companion could be pacified with something like wine, earl grey tea, dwarven snuff, etc.

YOU ARE UGLY SIR.

Beauty is in Arcanum for more than show.

It really affects your relationship with your followers.

It really affects what happens if they get accidentally hit by "friendly" fire.

First of all, thank you very much for the replies.

Just another question :
How do i make sogg drink the wine. I can drink the wine, but how can i make sogg do this ?

Could it also be that my relationship worsenes because my alignment is getting more good ?

Thanks in advance,
L.

If I remember correctly its a dialog option to offer them the mood elevators.

It shouldn't be an alignment issue. Virgil is fairly dynamic in alignment, so he'll pretty much change along with you, no matter what course you choose and I believe Sogg is inclined towards good.
