After you finish your Arcanum mod please create Colonization 2. I'm tired of European nations being able to attack my colonies without declaring war.

nono. i know this guy called shota in real life, and hes Russian. i like the name because where i'm from, it means "boot". Shernokavich is just a random eastern name.

in other words, it's just my alias for the net.

and LOL i already said i was adding Verona in the first page :P

don't worry, it stays true to the arcanum theme, just a bit more grimy.

Good. Most Germans here have envy that borders on hostility towards Poles because Poland, an untermensch country, developed Witcher while Germany only dropped out an abortion called Gothic 3.

thats weird. i seem to remember Gothic 2 being a farely good game.

some updates - I've removed Dark Helm from the game indefinitely (until i can find a way to fix it) and have decided to get the new tarant district finished before i seriously get into making the other locations.

I actually like those references to Romeo and Juliet and other videogames, it just makes everything more fun.

OK guys I'm making some progress on the balancing/bug fixing aspect on the mod.

so far I've fixed/balanced these things:

-the body in the wolf cave is now loot able
-the dark helm has been removed from the game indefinitely
-the dark necromantic and fire spell colleges are being weakened

anyone else have suggestions for balancing, or bugs they want fixed?

If you're worried about how many people will play your mod, make a couple of NPC romances and you'll draw in the Bioware fans.

Make the rabbit a playable character and you can get the furry crowd too.

ok guys some updates:

i've decided to try and add full-blood orcs to the list of things the DM can turn you into.
Bad News: it isn't as simple as the sex-change for gnomes and halflings. this is changing the entire model. i haven't found a way to script this yet, so it might not be available in the first release.
Good News: since full blood orcs are encountered a lot more than female gnomes and halflings, they will have more sprites, so that means more armor that they can wear (but not much) some examples: dark barbarian armor, bone dagger, etc..

the bug where you can't dispel your familiar (level 15 summon) is being looked at.
also i might be making changes to some unpopular spell colleges (that crappy one, i think it's called divination)

also exploring whether it's possible to summon items

and some ideas on what choices i should let the DM give you would really help
so far i have this -
he offers you 5 fate points (you can take 1,2,3,4, or 5, it isn't an all or nothing deal)
he offers you a note that has all the coordinates for new locations
he offers female gnome and halflings (and maybe other choices)
he *might* offer anti-gravity items (they have negative weight, like in car arcanum) unless i find a way to make items summon-able, then i will probably make a spell college that has to do with gravity and have that as the last spell

also, if i find a way to make orcs playable through the DM, i might consider also letting you play as a Bedokaan (though what would be your explanation for being on the blimp?)

feedback PLEASE :D

About playing orcs: Will NPC's acknowledge you as a full-blooded orcs or are you using the half-orc dialog responses?

Seriously, Arcanum is a forgotten, sad game. Why don't you just make a module for NWN 2 and perhaps get in to Hall of Fame, become famous in a large community etc.? Though I don't know how long NWN 2 will survive without its persistent worlds.

I feel like I owe this game something, and I'm repaying it by making a mod in it's honour. After this I DO plan on working on some more well-known games (WC3TFT, C&C, etc..) and I also plan on trying to make mods for games without modding tools (poking around in game files to find variables and whatnot) I'm particularly interested in trying this on Overlord (A lovely game)

half-Orc dialog. I might do full Orc dialog later, (this would probably take 3-4 weeks, all on its own) but at the moment I'm concentrating on the main points of the mod (cattan, tarant, and a huge quest line that has to do with dragons)

it's an uphill battle trying to use the scriptmaker by the way O.o
so far i've learned how to do 2 things:

-initiate dialog (which by the way, will be well written, and free of spelling/grammar errors.)
-make shopkeepers

and now im struggling with quest-giving.

Also i made a dungeon where at the end you get a sword. It turns you into a were-rat.

New Updates, and screen shots.

I've begun working on the capital Cattanese city:

There are going to be 3 districts, Agricultural district, Market District, and Royal district. By the time the city is done, it will be as big, and complex as tarant/dernholm/caladon.

And what's this? Leon from FF8?!

Bye!

Well look at that! Thank you Leon. 41 dmg at lvl 1.

And look, all 5 fire spells on one weapon. (unfortunately when the mod is released leon will be lvl 50, with a bunch of friends near him. if he joins your party he refuses to trade it to you. and no he can't be pickpocketed. you have 2 choices either let him join your group, or kill him and take his weapon.)

Ok now these shots are from another place called "Shroom Farm"

Easily dispatched with the gunblade.

A dead princess peach with a note saying about how she is sexually abused by mario and luigi everyday. bringing this note to bowser allows him to join your group.

don't worry. no more references to other games after this. i promise :)

Hmm, looks decent, but I'd rather have friggin' Mario and Luigi in my party than Squall.

How are you finding the editor to work with then, Shota Shernokavich?
