Are people who play female protagonist gay?

Hypothetically.... what if the protagonist is a cat? (...or a ghost? ...or a mutant rhino?) What does it matter if they are male or female?

How about if the game's only choice for playing a particular character class is automatically female? Diablo had only female rogues; Diablo 2 had only female sorceress.

The above set aside... for a roleplayer it shouldn't be at issue; the point is to play from the position of something other than yourself. It defeats the purpose to project, or substitute one's self as the PC.

It's not about dressing up as someone, in RPGs this is another individual with their own past and perceptions; in their own situations. The player is tasked to play out the encounters from the character's own point of view; to solve with the character's abilities, weaknesses, and bias... not their own. Playing an opposite gender character is about extrapolating their point of view, not pretending that it's your own.

You’re basically pretending to be a girl. How is that different from cross dressing?

What thrills you more, this:

Add a poll, most posters on this website will vote "NO" to your question.

I've personally never played a female character in any games that offered the opportunity to choose gender.

Why stop there op?

If you read a book with a female protagonist you are also gay.

If you watch a movie that has a female as the lead you are gay.

And most importantly, if you read this far you are just as gay as Vic

I read a book like that once, it was a murder mystery. When the crime was discovered the author spent more time describing what everybody was wearing than the actual crime scene, so yeah…

If you play a female character, then you imagine yourself taking on a sumbissive role along with a whole lot of cocks stuffed into you as well - faggot.
If you play a male character, then you feel insecure about yourself and fantasize about somebody strong solving shit for you, probably like staring at man's ass too - faggot.
Therefore, if you play video games at all then you are a faggot.

I've heard there is even worse scum, so degenerate, that they are reduced to posting about video games instead of playing them. Truly a pitiable existence devoid of meaning.

Playing female characters is fine if they are sexy. This thread is one of the silliest attempts at playing tough guy that I've seen, and leaves me with the opposite impression, that of a person that is an insecure little faggot.

How is this kind of thing viewed in tabletop roleplaying? Are you a tranny if your D&D character is of the opposite sex?

If you play as a man you are a faggot.

If you play as woman you are a tranny.

If you create your characters with the only purpose of staring at their ass in game... You should kill yourself.
