Lies, there are civilians and you can wear any uniform. You can even get their radio and pretend to be one of them and eavesdrop. So shut up if you don't know.

By the way this has become very good in the meantime. We are still missing building destruction but it is coming. Arma 3 still has some things over this, but I cannot ever go back. Reforger just plays, looks, sounds and controls so much better.

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Yeah, you can use radio in Contact to eavesdrop, but that's not a war crime...

Anyway, I obviously don't count mods, with mods you can do a lot more, I was talking vanilla content and missions.

When was the last time you tried wearing enemy uniform? As I mentioned, it was a feature, but it got removed later on.

Less than month ago I did just that. And there are civilians.

It's over.

Probably. But forumvisitor#451 is right, REFORGER does play very well, and the teasing potential is cruel. It does have civilian clothing and vehicles, if they would just add modeled/animated dedicated grannies and thots like in previous titles I’d be more optimistic. The new Everon is very believable as a small country.

There was indeed a long time with ArmA 3 that uniforms had a ‘side’ designated in their .cfg and not only couldn’t you usually wear one of the wrong side (you had to edit each uniform) but it would hijack the OPFOR, BLUEFOR, INDFOR, CIV side of spawned AI troops and generally be a pain in the ass.
I think it was a holdover of the way it worked in ArmA 2, 1 and Flashpoint where your body appearance was definitively tied to your side and ‘class’, nothing to do with ‘war crimes’.

Previously best time I ever had in a coop shooter was Arma 3 with milsim community. That is now replaced with Reforger. Even simple 2 player coop is straight up incredible because of all the mechanics implemented in core game. Yes jets and tanks are not there without mods and if they are, they are quite buggy but vehicles now feel like vehicles. You can do rally racing and it feels great, better than lot of open world games. Helicopters are so detailed and have weight to them that Arma 3 feels like toy.
