One of the most fun features of Opera is the user mode for rendering pages. Somehow I just really dig the "Nostalgia" 8-bit computer web-browsing experience. The text browser emulation works wonders on annoying design, too .

The old site was just plain ugly. Very ugly. The forums should be burned for still using it.

The new one isn't nearly as bad, though it could still use some color tweakings. A possible problem is that light grey is a very difficult color to work with, it makes bright colors appear brighter and dark colors appear darker. The black font even sort of blurs with the background.

One solution would be to darken the cell background color and then lighten the font and link color. The grey itself wouldn't have to be much darker. Perhaps if you eliminated the striped background image and just made it a solid grey, that would also help.

The new design is decent enough in my eyes. The red links could be brighter so they would be easier to read from gray background (like the black head lines are easy to read from white background), but other than that I can't come up with any complaints. Now will you convert forums to it too ?

I appreciate that you're not using my design anymore since I don't work here, but you need to work on the design more. I think the colors are fine, but you need to get rid of that awful plaid/striped background. It looks like someone took his granddad's pair of old pants, cut it up and pasted the cloth onto the website as a background.

Well, here it is once more - "THERE ARE FUCKING GAPS ALLOVER THE PLACE". And, yeah, it is unreadable - that stripeful pattern is nice, but I didnt post anything in this thread sooner because...couldnt find it, damn! Its impossible to read those hot threads.

Plus, my fellow-larpers found that design pretty cool.They think desginer is true larper at heart.
