Yeah, it's a common problem. Just stick to goldbox games to avoid the issue. If you don't mind a little grave robbing, MHC's old avatar is still up for grabs.

Which is why when I extract portraits from a game, I usually crop them if they're not square-shaped. But AoD's portraits can't be cropped without fucking them up.

Since D:OS EE is out but still bugged I decided to add some M&M avatars while D:OS EE is downloading (hope this time ISP don't cut the speed, like it did with WL2 DC).
All you need is find right software and automate it.
M&M VI - VII is easy - use same game files extractor, then mass converter and you're ready to go.
M&M VI have two NPC folders, each have 300+ portraits, including lot of unused stuff. Even after harsh selection (few types from each groups) it ended with massive pile.
I was thinking about adding few portraits (each with different expression) of player characters but dropped that idea.
And I have no idea what's the thing with random people wearing cervelliere.

The newer game the quality get worse, M&M have no NPC portraits beside the one we can recruit to the team.
For M&M IX I found another game files extractor.
I though that mass converter turn the images into worse quality when I set it to 96x96 PNG but it did even better job that software like GIMP.

Let's go to the meat.

I don't care if it was asked already in this thread because I'm not going to read it all, but is it possible to enforce unique avatars on the Codex? I'm fucking tired of clicking on a Reapa thread thinking it was Black's, or Bubbles stealing DDZ's avatar, or everyone like this retarded motherfucking Sheep ^ using this bearded AoD bum avatar.

DarkUnderlord can anything be done about this MICROISSUE?

I'm triggered by people using same avatards because in developed intellects image cognition is higher than text.
