In retrospect, BG3 was shit.

I didn't like it but ill say this.

Unlike Bethesda's trash, BG3 seems competently made.
Unlike Pillars, I can't say their vision wasn't clear; they knew what they wanted.
Unlike Disco or Cyberpunk, BG3 does qualify as an actual RPG.

I really wanted to like BG3. I played for like 40-50 hours and just did not get anywhere and the game felt like a chore for some reason.
You don't play an RPG you dislike for 50 hours lol
yeah, no its garbage and I wish I had my time back. I kept thinking it would get better at some point because of all the hype, but the opposite happened, it just kept getting worse. Also I realized I probably was only 15% of the way through the POS because of how bloated they make games now. I realize OCD zoomers hopped up on adderall just blast through games missing 80% of the content, so it might be hard to relate to how other people might enjoy games. I have watched younger generations do playthroughs on youtube, and its painful watching you spazzes play; perhapos you don't care because you figure you will just see more of the game on "muh next play through" since you sadly missed out on all the homosexual juggling furry content being so laser focused on making sure you would be raped by a bear the first time through.

However I am not a zoomer, and I almost never play a RPG again once I complete it unless its truly excellent, which is very rare anymore. At a certain point I realized just how tedious BG3 was and that it was better to cut my losses than continue on. Loading the game up felt more like work than my actual job did near the end--after I uninstalled I felt great relief.

I tried playing BG and Icewind Dale for an hour or two recently just to compare, and they are just more fun to play for whatever reason.

Because their format is more pure - no endlessly annoying voice acting and cutscenes you need to sit through. They don't try to be movies.
yes the game cruises along at a decent pace, but not fast either, but I did not feel burdened with a bunch of useless chores and whatever else. I don't know, just more fun to play, actually felt more immersed despite the 'worse' graphics.

You supported this new bloated game by buying at full price. What is it with millennials and being such consoomers?

Larian, Enough with the bear-thing nonsense for the love of God!!!

I never found the bear thing funny, I found it bizarre. Like why would somebody include such a thing in the game?
Because people talk about it, it was a pure PR move and worked perfectly. I'm pretty sure the bear thing was the first time BG3 started going viral, doubt it would reach even half of its current audience without shit like that. All the streamers etc. picked it up purely because of the bear clip being posted everywhere.

I never found the bear thing funny, I found it bizarre. Like why would somebody include such a thing in the game?
Justifying the bear thing is a slipperly slop of immorality. "It's just a human that can tranform into a bear" could shift to transforming to other "shapes". Where do you set the stop to it?

I really wanted to like BG3. I played for like 40-50 hours and just did not get anywhere and the game felt like a chore for some reason. There was too much garbage to collect. I really dislike modern 'crafting' systems, they bog the inventory and entire loot and ultimately progress of the game down. It becomes a chore to have to sift through all the junk you hoover up all the time. I tried playing BG and icewind dale for an hour or two recently just to compare, and they are just more fun to play for whatever reason. I would take endless 'modules' or adventures made in those engines rather than have to chug through these modern bloated games.

Anyone here thinking the bear thing was just a marketing ploy or the beginning of a slippery slope is naive. The slope was crossed a long time ago. A game with that budget, targeting such a large audience, featuring zoophilia (bestiality) is abhorent and should not have been accepted in any manner. These people have been so poisoned with furry shit and degeneracy acceptance for so long, the addition of sex with a bear was met with cheers and excitement. This should have been stopped a long time ago. We just want to get married. Yeah right.

In retrospect, BG3 was shit.

Friendly reminder that JA3 is NOT an RPG and thus BG3 won. Thx
JA3 features character & party building, C&C, tactical combat gameplay & strategic overworld & resource management.

It's more of an RPG than twilight gate 3. COPE!

Shan't be readin' whatever drivel you're about to type in reply. BG3 defenders get the rope.
That's nice cupcake, did the devs of JA3 finally acknowledge this prestigious award?

Idk, I've thought larian was garbage since I played divine divinity and beyond divinity in the early 00s.

I haven't played bg3 since the graphics look like shit the voice acting is really bad, but I don't think I would enjoy it.

In 10-15 years the original infinity engine games will be timeless because of the hand drawn art. BG3 and all the other games in the last 10 years where characters look like they have been dipped in vaseline will be looked at the same way ps1 games are today.

Maybe in Belgium, where the majority of the population is covered in semen you might not see anything wrong with that.

That's nice buttercup.

Your old boomer rpg's with dogsh*t RTWP combat are already forgotten outside of this dump. If people talk about Baldur's Gate, they refer to BG3 and not the old forgotten boomer trash.

The most popular restaurant in the world is Mcdonalds, and the highest selling RPG of all time is skyrim.

What the unwashed masses think or believe is irrelevant to me and most intellectuals.

Also I'm 32 lol.

In retrospect, it's funny how bioware bgs had more mature and consistent writing than larian's bald gay. And I hate bioware writing.

Different time, the early Bioware devs were fed on D&D, Star Trek, Clint Eastwood movies and other entertainment to draw creativity from. Nowadays, they are inspired by my little poney, Mario, Tumblr and Reddit.

Imagine the nuclear level meltdown people here would have about trannies if Baldur's Gate 3 had the Edwina storyline.

Not sure what to tell you, I have citizenship in 3 countries and all are much nicer than Belgium. Belgium is a tiny urban jungle full of muslims. Also probably within the next 20 years the Flemish are going to break away and join the Netherlands.

Fake country, which is why Larian has such a hard time finding real inspiration for their creative works.
