Well they certainly are scared of me... I have level 7 bros now and haven't seen a single spider yet. Wanna stab some arachnids too, dammit.
Got smashed by orcs. Is it me or is the map much more "active" ? I feel like I'm getting much more encounters generally. Not complaining, just noticing
I feel that way about Alps. Spiders seem appropiately squishy. So far spiders are the goblins of the monster faction. Avoid at all costs. Not even getting craftable drops from them so they are a complete waste of time. The villagers have to hunt their own god damn spiders!
But then eggs began to appear. If you don't control that shit quickly enough they begin to multiply and soon overwhelm you. My last run ended precisely this way.
I've played way more than I have any right to these past two days, and I haven't seen a single spider. What gives? All the other DLC monsters are certainly "avoid at all costs" enemies, though. Fucking Alps.
It's probably that... It's not rare to walk back from a contract and pass by a settlement which has spawned a garrison to attack you.Bases now spawn troops. Luck of the draw I would say.
Very screwed.I think that game underestimates caravan contract traveling distances.
Supposed 4 day trip takes actually 6 days etc.
I also took 3-skull "get rid of nightmares" -job on village that's middle of swamp with low level company.
How screwed those poor newbies are?
The guy with M Att and M Def stats? Nooooooo! It might be my luck but I have trouble finding any decent bros. Already lvl 7-8 and still havent found a single three star melee or ranged bro, or resolve for that matter. Had to convert starting 2 hander bro (iron lungs and fearless) ino a sergeant. Not sure if it was a wise decision.
I hope there is spider city somewhere with hundreds of spiders.
