Well, I can just hope they've come across critique similar to mine and focus more on their strengths in lieu of the freeroam.
Badly. Even though MechCommander2 had a laughable number of flaws, at least it wasn't snigger inducing or a Disney princess wankfest. How does this game compare to Mech Commander 2 though?
actually, they do.I'm also irked by the overuse of italics people don't speak like this.
actually, they do.

just three words, and you can already see the huge difference it does. because, actually they do.
Maybe it's the future and in the future people have embraced their Italian roots, therefore italicizing avidly. Or perhaps... they have... substituted... ellipses with... italics..!actually, they do.I'm also irked by the overuse of italics people don't speak like this.

I wasn't disputing the effectiveness of italics in relaying emphasis I was complaining about the idea of multiple uses of italics in the same sentence.

Release 1.0.4 Notes, 5/21/2018
Fixed an issue introduced in Release 1.0.3 where the campaign timeline could stop advancing under certain circumstances - most commonly, after the death of one or more MechWarriors with active temporary tags (e.g High Spirits) on them.

Jordan Weisman, Harebrained Schemes CEO and creator of BattleTech and Shadowrun, has laid out the team’s plans for the future of BattleTech. He told us that any DLC, expansions or sequels they do “will always involve story,” and may not follow Paradox Interactive’s traditional DLC route.

PS: and something for Black

Still better than pwgra and fampyr, if you ask my opinion.
Unity Engine is terrible at patching… It uses a few big files (as opposed to many small ones) and cannot do differential upgrades.800 megabytes worth of a patch just to fix that?
Are you fucking kidding me?
"We found this super-duper secret cache of thingies that we totally need to win this and there's only one person alive in the whole universe who can open it!"
"Ah, yes. That would be me. Now excuse me as I go down to that planet in a very dangerous mission because muh honor!"
Select answer:
1. Go with God, my friend.
2. I don't really like this, but go with God, my friend.
3 [Intelligence] We are on the verge of gaining the upper hand in this conflict and you are the key to doing so. Of course you can go on a dangerous mission to fish out some half-burned corpses in a nuked city. Go with God, my friend.
Fuck me, until now my standard response was to click whatever answer sounded the most irreverent without really reading what I was answering to. Now I paused for a second to read what exactly was going on.
I meant you stopping to read was the trigger to you turning full imbecile. That bit of dialogue is like a text version of the Feeblemind spell (fortunately, I made the save). In my defence, I don't go reading is teh hard in games and I've played a few text heavy games, just in the case of BT, it completely failed to get my attention because the story is bland, completely on rails and has next to no relevance to the tactical situation of a mission. That particular bit of dialogue just struck me as an "[Intelligence] So you fight the good fight with your voice" moment.
Calvin Barkmore was amazingly and accurately written.Yep, it's not like JA2 writing is a literary masterpiece either.
Elliot, you IDIOT!!!
It was marketed as a lot of things, chief amongst them as being a BTech game. It is none of them. It is a fraud, a scam. Lots of people got conned, and some outright refuse to admit it, which is why they shill so hard for it.Yep, it's not like JA2 writing is a literary masterpiece either.
Elliot, you IDIOT!!!
Talk about shifting the goalposts. Wasn't this marketed by HBS as some sort of "game of thrones"-esque (I hate this comparison) political intrigue on a galactic scale? Is this even Stackpole level?
No idea, I never followed the kickstarter pitches and all that. They really promised that? Hah.Yep, it's not like JA2 writing is a literary masterpiece either.

Yeah, pips suck. This will add to your rage, but in case you didn't know, HBS messes with the percentages we see: https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/90?tab=descriptionI nominate Cael to write the Codex review.
Today's rage: Meaningless and uninformative displays that refuse to show the actual numbers anywhere. Fuck whoever thought this was good design, I hope all the professionals in his life also refuse to use measurements and just eyeball things.

Or UFO: Enemy Unknown. Or nuXCOM. Or Xenonauts. Or Battle Brothers. Or Silent Storm. Or…Yep, it's not like JA2 writing is a literary masterpiece either.
Yep, pretty much this. I'll be happy to see a good story attached to a good game, but if the game's good on its own, fuck it, who cares.Or UFO: Enemy Unknown. Or nuXCOM. Or Xenonauts. Or Battle Brothers. Or Silent Storm. Or…Yep, it's not like JA2 writing is a literary masterpiece either.
It’s like with porn—there has to be some plot to get things going, and I guess I don’t mind it being good, but that’s not the reason I enjoy it. It can even be mindbogglingly stupid and not distract from the experience.
