The one I made in Minecraft.

Pictures or it never happened. Also, I am not sure if it is a CRPG, but Sea seems to classify it as a rouge-like (http://criticalmissive.blogspot.com/2012/09/ftl-its-fun-to-play-actual-game-for.html).

Roguelikes are not exactly a new or even a particularly obscure genre anymore. After successes over the last few years like Dwarf Fortress, Dungeons of Dredmor, Minecraft, Spelunky and The Binding of Isaac, roguelikes have been introduced to, relatively speaking, more mainstream gamers than in the past.

People already mentioned most of the good stuff.

I liked the horde fortress in IWD2.

There is one particular castle I always like in Mount&Blade. Can't recall the exact name, but it is located in Vaegir territory. It is really small compared to the others. Always fun defending it.

Even though there was shit all to do in most of them the forts and castles in Morrowind were quite memorable and had a good atmosphere.

Yeah, actually the Elder Scrolls RPGs are the only ones I recall having castles. Now, if they had spinning bookcases, secret doors, and torches to put out/turn. I'd be a happy man! Gimme Puzzle Castle anyday of the week! I'm game. Deeper dungeons, Baby! :P

Best 'castles' in gaming are probably in thief fan missions (about to get better anyway).

I remember once upon a time not being satisfied with the size of the castles in Morrowind and deciding to work on my own version which tried to be a bit more realistic in size and structure while still using all the original resources.

I was going to make it something like 5-7 separate levels in the keep with all the accurate castle rooms and features like dining, chapel, dungeon etc., along with cathedral, council hall, and full town as well.

It never saw the light of day.

Will we see something like this from Beth in future Instead of pseudo Gothic Castles and Tudorian style houses?

800px-MW-place-RethanManor.jpg

Rethan Manor is a Hlaalu stronghold located on the Odai Plateau, southwest of Balmora and east of Hla Oad. It is the smallest of the three strongholds available to the player, and is based in the heart of Hlaalu territory. It contains the manor itself and three houses surrounded by a wall on all sides. The closest settlement to it is Hla Oad, which is located just down the plateau to the west. The stronghold, in its final phase, is the residence of several trainers and merchants, which are useful as an easy and definite method of selling newly-acquired loot.
800px-MW-Places-IndarysManor.jpg

Indarys Manor is a Redoran settlement in the Ashlands region, located on the site of Bal Isra. House Redoran defends this settlement as their commissioned stronghold, although House Telvanni and House Hlaalu don't share the same idea. It is the most populated of the three strongholds.
Indarys Manor is a typical Redoran settlement built within the chitinous shells of what appears to be Silt Striders. The settlement is walled in, and has a lookout tower constructed next to the entrance to the settlement.
800px-MW-Places-TelUvirith.jpg

Tel Uvirith is a Telvanni settlement in the Molag Amur region, located on the site of Uvirith's Grave. House Telvanni defends this settlement as their commissioned stronghold, although House Redoran and House Hlaalu do not think likewise.
Tel Uvirith is the one and only Telvanni stronghold with Dwemer Centurions guarding it. In comparison with the other two strongholds accessible in the game, Tel Uvirith fully demonstrates the arrogant expansionism of House Telvanni. While Indarys Manor (the Redoran stronghold) is located on the site of Bal Isra, right between Ald'ruhn and Maar Gan (thus in the Redoran heartland), and Rethan Manor (the Hlaalu stronghold) is on the Odai Plateau just south of Balmora (also in the heartland of its House), Tel Uvirith is a direct expansion into territory which has had no affiliation with the Telvanni. Like Tel Vos, which can be taken as a sign of imminent Telvanni occupation of the Grazelands, Tel Uvirith shows surprising signs of the House planning to incorporate the northeastern part of Molag Amur into their domain as well. Upon construction of Tel Uvirith, the Telvanni heartland of the Zafirbel Bay is more or less completely surrounded by strongholds, making them better organized than the scattered Redoran and Hlaalu strongholds, whose domains are woven into Temple and Imperial domains.
Tel Uvirith is notably much larger than the two other strongholds, although it is far more remote. It sports both a larger interior and more NPC accommodation in the immediate area, although it is the least populated stronghold. Using the construction set, it is possible to further this by expanding into the immediate environs, something which is not possible with the other two strongholds, as they lack both space and freedom from exterior walls.
