red alert 2 yuris revenge
aoe 1 rise of rome

Frozen throne was better than wc3 base campaign, but I didn't particularly like wc3 in general for single player.

Generally speaking, FPS expansions usually suck.

I might be forgetting some I liked.

KKnD 2: Krossfire was better than the base game too

KKnd 2 Krossfire was the sequel, not an expansion pack.

I prefered kknd 1, kknd 2 was the hardest RTS I have ever played. I never came close to beating it lol.

I liked the OST and freaky units (Evolved)

That song is still on my workout playlist for when I do chin ups lol.

'alrighty then'
'yes'
'moving'

Still though, KKND 2 was way too fucking hard. I don't think I even made it halfway through the survivors campaign.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Hrm. I liked the Forge of Virtue for U7. Nice enough quests and additions to the storyline. Didn't really like The Silver Seed for U7: Serpent Isle. For the most part way too much real estate with nothing oging on. Made it seem dull. Really don't like that folks just play the games now with both expansions enabled - since they are both effectively gamebreaking (but it's your game, do whatever the hell you want.)

Didn't really like *any* of the Bullfrog game expansions (The Deeper Dungeons, American Revolt, etc) What the hell was wrong with those people? Did finish The Deeper Dungeons tho, but it took me a long, agonizing time.

Liked Tribunal for Morrowind. Kinda liked that Oblivion expansion. Liked the sims Livin' Large - but everything after that sucked.

Seeing Dark Souls 2 DLC's listed - what, if anything, constitutes a DLC vs. an Expansion.

I just can't think of any standout ones. Quake, Quake 2, Unreal, Jedi Knight, all of these games had shit expansion packs.
You forgot to mention Doom... the Episode 4 they released as a later expansion was utter dogshit.
Episode 4 for Ultimate Doom kicks ass. You're crazy - it's hard as shit.

The first level alone is 9 kinds of excellent.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
One from top of my head is the Movies: Stunts and Effects for The Movies. Great expansion.
Never heard about it.
What's it like?
The whole game, or just the expansion? The expansion adds stunts to your movie making, creating an entire new category of management. You can either hire stuntmen or train your stars to be Tom Cruise that does everything themselves, at the risk of injury. Lots of new scenes were also added.

Hexen 2: Portal of Praevus
Call of Duty: United Offensive

Both overall better than the base games.

CoD:UO was the peak of the series for me and basically took all the cool stuff of CoD and launched it into the stratosphere. I played through almost all of it in a single sitting.

Seekers doesn't appear before the third act. I can't recall any differences in their placements or numbers.

Actually, they gave me bigger challenge in the base game, because that was my first time. And the second. And the third. In the NotR I was way more experienced Gothic player.

Below my list from an another topic.

My favourites:

Gothic II: Night of the Raven
StarCraft: Brood War
Cilvization IV: Beyond the Sword
Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Another great ones:

Shogun Total War: Mongol Invasions
Medieval Total War: Viking Invasion
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne
Age of Empires II: The Conquerors
Red Alert: Aftermath
Half-Life: Opposing Force
Call of Duty: United Offensive (I have only played the multi-player, I liked it much more than the base game, the sequel was somewhat decline, and it was my last CoD for MP)
X-COM: Enemy Within
WH40K: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade (the best of the three expansions)

It's a shame, but I"ve never played Dungeon Keeper: Deeper Dungeons.
