I haven't played the game but I would imagine that there's also a loading screen message saying "Hint: You can cut off enemy limbs to kill them."I remember Dead Space 1 (original, not the remake), first you see writing in blood on the wall "cut off their limbs," then a tutorial prompt about cutting off the limbs to incapacitate the monsters, then you find an audio log about a guy telling his teammates that headshots don't work and to shoot their limbs instead, and then finally the black guy you started the game with calls you on radio to tell you the same thing. And all of this in the span of like five minutes.
Those were the days.vs pushing every tile in Wolfenstein.
That's because playtesters were too dumb to take in just the blood on the wall as a hint. Which, devil's advocate, will need a translation for those who don't speak English.I remember Dead Space 1 (original, not the remake), first you see writing in blood on the wall "cut off their limbs," then a tutorial prompt about cutting off the limbs to incapacitate the monsters, then you find an audio log about a guy telling his teammates that headshots don't work and to shoot their limbs instead, and then finally the black guy you started the game with calls you on radio to tell you the same thing. The yellow jizz on climbable objects is just an extension of that, handholding for the console peasantry.
Wasn't there also a puzzle in Wolfenstein where you could lock yourself out of the reward if you pushed the wrong series of walls? You complain about this but this has been a thing since odd colored walls in Doom vs pushing every tile in Wolfenstein.
Yeah.Wasn't there also a puzzle in Wolfenstein where you could lock yourself out of the reward if you pushed the wrong series of walls?
