To be fair I haven't even heard of half of those on the PC list, let alone care about them. Still, damn impressive stuff.

I don't care about any of the console exclusives. Like literally not one of them would even tempt me.

Red Dead Redemption though... :(

Buckley finally has a stopped clock moment. After making so many comics, one of them was bound to be intentionally funny.

That's a little exaggeration. Many of those game have been released a couple of months ago.

As it says at the top, the list was compiled on 11 June.
I'd have just put East vs West on the list and stopped there. Really, there's something to be said for quality over quantity and all that.

But honestly, the whole exclusive craze started to feel more than a little retarded ever since last gen of consoles. I mean, back in 16-bit and 8-bit exclusive was actually thing, around PS2 majority of games were multiplat, and by this point everyone knows you either need someone to fork up the money+profit for the entire development cycle if they want something like an AAA dollar black hole as an exclusive. Nowadays I'm actually surprised when I hear someone say the word "exclusive" in hypespeak, it's become something of a curio or a relic of the industry's earlier days.

I'm rambling. Point is, it's all stupid shit that doesn't even mean anything anymore. I'd rather just have good games.

Why are always the blandest, most dull, banal, shit, boring, and undeserving settings the ones that get such kind of over-analyzing and trying too hard to find depth in a puddle? It is like witnessing the "intellectual" side of dumbfucks.

I think the image is being satirical of the whole exclusive thing, because often when you're discussing the merits of PC gaming some console fan will come in and go 'm-m-muh exclusives!'

That said, I don't disagree with you. The whole fight over exclusives is pretty dumb. Most console exclusives are shit anyway, and browsing through that PC list most games there are shit too.

ESO's lore is irrelevant because anyone who gives a shit will treat it as non-canon, no matter what Bethesda's overlords say.

Until the writers of TES VI are ordered to treat it as canon...

I'm assuming they set it 1,000 years earlier so the actual Bethesda, an entirely different dev team, could ignore it. I guess if it becomes really successful there might be pressure to change that, however. I obviously hope for the opposite.

IIRC the setting isn't as pussy-moistening as Torment makes it look.

It's actually better.

It's true that Torment avoided many of the retarded things that you can find in Planescape. And there are retarded things, especially in the bestiary, but really nothing truly awful.
However, Torment also misses a lot of what makes Planescape great.

You have to remember, for many of these mouthbreathers Oblivion was their first 'RPG'.
Unfortunately, the HD Bloom God has turned them blind. Thus, no game has ever been as good as Oblivion because they can't see anything without blinding rays of light.
