" probably because DA2 isn't selling as expected"

Bullshit. Have proof of thisn throy outside of the vgchartz which still has the game over a million sold. FFS Why do people feel the need to make shit up. Don't like the game fine, but don't fukkin' lie.

Anyways, it's funny that people proclaimed that DA2 was the 'death' of BIO and DA series yet here we are.. about a month after release already rumoured talk of a DA3. Which shouldn't be surprising since the DA2 ending is made for an expansion/sequel, the game has sold more than a mil in less than 2 weeks, and chances are DA3 was already greenlighted by EA months before DA2 was even released. R00fles!

As for actual topic, DA3 MP will likely suck just like DA1's toolset and mod scene sucked.

They need to do what they did with NWN 'cause that was fuckin' awesome MP/TOOLSET.

DA3 needs no MP component.

Learn to address the people You so deeply dislike or disagree with, otherwise I'm most of the time just the "target audience." with the short attention span, and Ritalin usually comes with my retail copies.

The signs are there, the charts not written by me and I liked DAO so You are wrong again.
The whole point is coming from EA's comments about completely killing single player campaigns in their future games.
When being a Corporate fan do some research on the Corporation.

I think what bothers me is that they announce the MP first, but then again DA2 was just below avarage and had no MP, so...

Optimist: It's a good thing...

1mil+ in less than 2week. Very few games do that well.

EA is spending tens of millions on advertising these days....so 2 million might not be enough...roofles.

BG1+2 had multiplayer and NWN was practically built for it.

But as Jaesun said, MP won't help the problems that DA2 had. Maybe they'll ditch the RPG completely and just make it an arcade-action game?

I had a car a while ago. Leaking oil, stalling, shit engine. I put a new CD player in it, and somehow I forgot about the fucking engine problems.

Just admit it, you could never put your finger on what was wrong with DA II. This news comes as a revelation, and now we found the missing ingredient to the perfect formula.

And here I am.

I remember Origin, I remember Wing Commander IV (that was their way to get rid of Chris Roberts - not that the game was bad mind you) and I remember that after Wing Commander IV we had Prophecy and also one of the worst games ever, Privateer II: The Darkening.

People are saying "BioWare became terrible", not "BioWare is dead" ... I will know when BioWare became dead when certain people are gone, Brent Knowles already left ...

DA2 was, relatively spekaing, cheap for them to make and the advterising budget as well was very likely much lower than DA1 was so it doesn't even have to sell as much as DA1 to make a bigger profit. I ahven't even seen any tv ads for it thoguh others claim to have (one said it was on a wrestling program but i don't watch wrestling anymore so I didn't see it). R00fles!

Anyways, DA2 was just as good as DA1. Better story, better characters, more challenging combat, less rpgness, pretty equal C&C, etc., etc.

DA2 was better than DAO.... I know I'm going to be crucified for this, but I hated DAO just that much. I just couldn't get over the combat in DAO, it was boring and tedious, pretty much like in DA2, but in DA2 the combat felt shorter, less tedious

The story and the characters were equally stupid, but DA2 just didn't hurt that much... I don't know, I never played beyond DAOs tutorial level (After the stupid battle scene), but I played through DA2, even though it felt bland, it didn't hurt

Is DA1 worth playing? I suppose just once to see what all the negativity is about.

I'm almost willing to call it that Volourn being an ex-wrestling fan tell you everything you need to know about Volourn (unless by 'any more' he means 'since I was 8'). I'm guessing he turned 30 and his parents finally told him that 'professional' wrestling is staged.

Part 1: BIO will be dead when the creators ie the docs are no longer involved. They're the only ones that matter since they have final say, and still do since they're basically a part of EA brass now as well.

I knew restling was 'fake' from the moment I watched my first match. The same way I knew shows like Macgyver, the A Team, House, Buffy, True Blood, Lost, professional boxing, and others are also 'fake'. It's called fukkin' acting.

"I love how Volourn says people make shit up, then makes claims without any sources."

1. I don't make shit up.

2. I've listed sources. In fact, the Codex even has a source for the quote as a news item. FFS

3. I am a fukkin' source. Trustn me when i say I know what I'm talkin' about. No foolin' yo, I know that shit you don't know shit that I know you don't shit that I know shit that you don't know shit. Yo. Capiche?

"People are saying "BioWare became terrible", not "BioWare is dead" .."

Part 2: I know you've been readinga llt he DA2 threads. YOU may have not thoguht BIo was dead b/c of DA2, but plenty of people have.

"DA2 was better than DAO"

I would love to agree with this but the dumbed down character system, the repetive areas, the spawning enemies out of nowwhere, and the 1 milllliooooonnnnnnnnn hit point enemies makes it not so. :( Thankfully, it has strengths to make it even. :)

I think it is worth playing. Give it a go and make up your own mind. DA2...should be avoided like the plague.

And I hated DA:O but what DA2 "improves" over it, its still a step back in too many other departments.

Its shorter but less tedious?

No, DA2 managed to be even worst that DA:O since as they knew you would pressing the button of awesome and wipe the trash mob in 15 seconds they added waves, after a while its WORST that DA:O since as there is no challenge you are just being thrown wave after wave of weak enemies you can dispatch with ease.

Its filler combat at its worst.

The story and the characters were equally stupid, but DA2 just didn't hurt that much... I don't know, I never played beyond DAOs tutorial level (After the stupid battle scene), but I played through DA2, even though it felt bland, it didn't hurt

So you are saying that DA2 is better that a game you never gone beyond the prologue?

I never gone very far into DA:O but at least I did more that you did, I had a grasp of the system and you cannot say the characters are stupid as you never actually MEET several of those.

DA2 is to DA:O as ME2 is to NWN ... that is the real problem people had, its not DA2 is "better" (that it might be in some areas) but that we gone from a 2001 "old school" game design to a 2010 game design, its like playing Fallout 3 a year after Fallout.
