It is a valid worry, that these devs will just start seeing dollar signs and go chase them the same way the publishers currently do. However, I'm optimistic that there is some drive or desire in a good game dev that he actually wants to make a good game. He would rather make a good game and make a modest amount than make a CoD clone and go swimming through quarters Scrooge McDuck style. We'll see.

I am mostly humoured by this. It makes me reavulate the depth of stupidity that can be found among humans and in so many ways.

Happy new year, happy new year guys!

Herve is the only man in the games business who truly understands how stupid gamers are and knows how to exploit it. The man is a genius.

Every time I see Interplay in the news here I am reminded of Van Buren and FOBOS, and I get pissed off. And the shit they keep pulling just gets worse and worse. Are there no depths to which Herve won't sink?

Nope. No it wouldn't.

Well, they already confirmed it is real time, right. So I can see at least that as a problem with the project beforehand. Still, I wonder what they paln to make toressurrect the Black Island brand. I mean, I hope it is more than just a retooled Fallout Online, even if that is their first project..

Man you're talking like 7K $ is nothing. I wish someone would give me that kind of money for nothing... :(

well it IS nothing if you were planning on making millions. between that video and the forums, it's probably all gone already. and i'm pretty sure that at least a couple thousand belonged to the people trying to scam nerds anyway, to give it a legit appearance

You're probably right, I hope that what you speak is true. That they spent their money trying to scam. That would be a huge :incline:.
