8 Eyes Coach Post Match Commentary
Knights of Codexia 2-1 over 8 Eyes. It felt more like a 3-0 game though, with rk rolling 35 successful blocks to my 15 (65% to 45% despite being on slightly fewer average block dice, thanks to lots of block and frenzy). My one score was a bullshit troll throw that came out of nowhere. I had 7 red crosses floating over my team by the end of the game.

MA imo. That extra square can be the difference between a TD and a GFI :troll:

And it always works, even in events of clawspam.

I would consider giving him dodge just because blodgers are ridiculous. Leap up would be super trollish too. +MA is good too, just don't get AV.

OK, So Star Player Options (This is huge)
- Dodge
For extra survivability

- MA
For extra safety when frenzy go beyond MA limit - also gives better interception range

- Diving Tackle
When an opposing player dodges out of the player's tackle zone, Diving Tackle can be performed; this will put your player prone while the dodging player now eats a -2 penalty when attempting the dodge roll.

Here's what I think:
-Dauntless
We're facing Necromantic on the next match - neutralizing the Flesh Golem is key to knocking out their guards. They certainly are well-developed. We may need that extra bit of STR just to turn the guard line to our favor.

(Now that I think about it, Dauntless is a poor choice)

-Piling On
Double the Pain, Double the Pleasure. Giving up a tackle zone after a successful knockdown, our hero will do an elbow drop, landing himself on the floor alongside his victim. Risky, but can lead to great things or a gang bang with heels for our hero on the floor.

-Guard
This is a normal access skill, but seeing how effective the Guard wars is - I'm inclined to say there is nothing wrong with having a 5th Guard player on the field.

Table status
01.png

Here is our opponent for the next match
02.png

The Banned is fully developed team with their star players being the Twin Werewolves with Claw and Block. One of them has mighty blow. Both Wights have Guards and so do their two STR4 Golems.

It's going to be a tough match that is very reliant on winning that STR match up early on.
Advice is welcome.

Final MD7 Fixtures
Mess with the Best vs Fursecution - A battle to decide first place and second.
8 Eyes vs Purple Inferno - A battle for the last two slots for play offs
Changer of Minds vs Vast Mountain Raiders - an irrelevant match where the Raiders will try to salvage some pride.
Knights of Codexia vs The Banned - The grudge between the two coaches are well known in F13 - between Bioware romance discussions where RK would troll Ingmar and his wife (Who also plays in another division, losing 6 matches out of 6 so far) or RK posting disturbing pictures imported from Codex's amusing animated picture thread that Ingmar doesn't consider very funny.

One guy with tackle might be good to more reliably take down those dodgers. I probably wouldn't waste a double though...

Kinda torn, we have a few days to decide. Don't worry. No point rushing this match.
I might leave the league again.

:troll:

Necromantic
Werewolves x2
1x Block/ Dodge / MB
1x Block

These are probably their star players. 8 MA , 3 STR & 3 AG is all needs to be said. They have normal access to agility and starts with Claw + Frenzy. Frenzy is a liability at lower level but once they get Block, these furry hitmen can fuck us over quickly. Considering their average AV of 8 - Yes, I will stomp these guys if the opportunity arise, but they have Regeneration - Grr.

Flesh Golem x 2
2x Guard

On paper, Golem doesn't look that formidable. 4 STR 4 MA 2 AG... meh. A crippled Chaos Warrior? But look deeper and you realize they start with Stand Firm. It's going to be a challenge keeping the Guard advantage going with these immovable object around. AV 9 makes stomping a non-viable option - but we'll see.

Wight x 2
2x Guard

Wights are basically Human Blitzer with -1 MA. They usually provide crucial Guard assists since they have STR normal access.

Ghouls x2
1x Sure Hand
1x No Skills

Starting with dodge, these guys are actually designated ball picker and runner. Lack of ball handing skills plagues the ghouls - but a Sure Hand can make them more reliable. AV 7 - no regeneration, taking them out of the game is worth considering.

Zombie x 4
1x Kick
3x Block

Cannon fodder, Zombies are too slow to play other role than meat wall. Guard on doubles, Block on normal. And they're pretty much done.

12 Players, TV 1490 - 3 RR

rk47, you can get piling on as a normal, can you not?

Get Leap up so you can pile on without consequence :)

How much tackle is there in the league?

White Wolf only has a single level up to pick. Double 5 Roll.
Piling On is a normal skill yes.
The biggest worry is the 8 MA blitzing claw dodge wolves.
The White Wolf , will face the Werewolves in this match.

Geralt.png

I don't know about the league, but this guy has zero tackle, so Dodge may be a worthwhile pick for the duel.

I must confess I am enjoying this more than I should. With me only having a vague idea of the rules and all.

Knights,

It is with great sadness and regret that our attempts of Codexian humor is so badly misunderstood by our fine hosts of F13.net. A mere image of a sleeping princess approached by an opportunistic prince - with a suggestive subtitle is enough to trigger emotional engagements at the level never seen before since Tali sweat chemical composition is revealed in Bioware Forums.

03.png

Even those who are sympathetic to our cause are banished to the F13.net's version of Retardo Land - the Den of Iniquity.

deadgurl1.png

What were their crimes? Having a different opinion and lower moral sensitivity to comedy.

deadgurl.png

In the light of this, the Knights of Codexia will not stand idle and will issue an appreciation of support on the field by changing our kit to the classic bright red as a sign of defiance - while adopting a new motto...

Behold.

None shall be found wanting.
