Nurgle represent!

:salute:

I think Hover had some unexpected stuff come up this weekend so he wasn't able to play, but we're going to try to find a time this week, hopefully in the next few days.

Yeah, I was pretty loaded up with work and have another match scheduled for tomorrow, so Thursday is the day I think

Last weekend didn't work out for Hover. We talked a few hours ago, looks like we are going to try this coming weekend. He was just heading to sleep as I got home from work, so the time change screwed us there.

We've been in touch pretty frequently.

ps - Hover, if you aren't working tomorrow (Fri) maybe I'll still be on Steam when you wake up Friday morning.

Our match is done.

Moss won the toss and decided to kick. I was defending well, denying the ballcarrier space and finally downed him. Unfortunately he managed to clear the ball, pick up the ball, resist my blitz, blitz out, dodge and GFI in the last turn.
I was pretty resigned in the second half (Moss would still have the ball in the overtime), then I lost Chris Priestly (KO), but still somehow managed to score in T16. Fucking fatty didn't wake up. I did what I could in the overtime, but finally a rotter failed a dodge with a reroll and Moss scored in turn 24.
The Madness won 2-1.
There were NONE casualties in this game. Not a single one.

Decliners vs Madness Semi-Finals:

replay is here

A very hard-fought game. If you want elegant passes and quick strikes, look elsewhere. This is just a lot of smashmouth Nurgle on Nurgle logjammin'.

Double extra time, turn 24 score for the Madness to take it 2-1

Well, this was hard to watch with the same teams in very similar colors and lack od casualties to entertain the viewer. ;)
Very close game, which was basically decided during the coin toss.

Both TDs for 1-1 were scored in a very similar manner, but the team receiving in the first half had the advantage, and used it well.

Lizardmen are loads of fun but extremely frustrating. Skulls and Both Downs will hang around your neck like a noose until you get a decent TV.

Lizardmen are the opposite of streamlining. You have ST4 guys with no skills like Chaos, but whereas Chaos has beastmen to support, skinks are stunty-weak. Plus, saurii are painfully hard to skill-up, having 1AG and whatnot.
It's a very difficult team to manage, but in the right hands is extremely powerful. Especially if you have loads of luck and get saurii MVPs, or at least touchbacks so you can score with them.

Actually streamlining is probably the wrong word. I was gonna say forgiving and tried to make a bad joke. Anyways I meant forgiving, so no more AV7 and dependance on passing. I think I can handle complex/non-streamlined bashy game...

Listen to Demnogonis, Lizards are far less forgiving than those teams. Orcs and dwarves are the easiest to play and tough too, humans are universal but not really strong, undead are also pretty good for bash, heck, even Chaos and Nurgle are much easier to play succesfully than lizards.

I think I will make a Lizardman team next season.
Way to go!

Don't listen to the hivemind, Mangoose. Lizardmen are so much more fun to play than all these ka0ses, 0rkz, d0rfz or the rotting shite.

And speaking of next season, where are we on the two remaining games of the current one? Any chance they get played in this decade?

We're waiting on Shuma vs Gorefiend - not sure when they're playing. I'm ready to play the winner whenever they finish.

I am going to play Goblins next season - get ready to get Chainsawed, suckas!!!

Mangoose - any of the teams with a lot of AV9 will help you field more players during the game, and help you keep your players for longer. If you are really looking for reliability, Dwarves will suit you well - though be ready for a completely different experience than your Elves.

I think Lizards are a good choice, too. Just don't get too attached to your Skinks.

If we don't get the last match played soon (2 days?) we will declare Moss the champ.

You say that, but I think three of my Sauruses died this last tournament, and not a single Skink. They can be weirdly badass, those little guys...

Mantiis, Ulm is your new bro. Fucker fouled me in T16 and -AV'ed one of my Blitzers (so I'm now down to two, out of a total of five I've bought) :decline:

I still won, of course :smug:

Think of it as enforced karma after you lucked out with me getting 2 quadskulls. You don't honestly expect me to let an elf drop prone in 4 TZ and NOT stop him, do you?
