Why not? It's not just the Jeanette/Therese thing that bothers me, it's all the subquests. None of them have any impact whatsoever.

i loved it when killian richard dean anderson darkwater showed up at the end and supersledged the master... that was some tight shit, yo!

Fallout allowed speechy characters a lot of recourse in the main bits already. Bloodlines doesn't. If players are spending point raising speechy skills, then they should have as much of a chance versus the main plot stuff as the guy who dumps all his points in to whacking shit.

i had just an easy of a time going through the warrens with my gangrel "bad muthafucka" as i did with my malkavian "talky". they both required the same amount of blood packs.

Have to say, this patch did wonders to my game. It fixed up the introduction stuff about the decapitation (now, the camera switches to the public and we don't see the sheriff just standing there with his big ass sword and the sound effect), the Anarch's sliding away... A lot of timing has been corrected and that's nice. 'Course, there's still some minor stuff they could've corrected, but this patch is fucking heaven for the moment. I even get payment in my mailbox this time. Yay!
