When the game gets its 4th patch that is when I'll consider getting this game.

You're an idiot. Honestly. What kind of statement is that?

I hope patch'll boost up FPS, because, as I see it, my old machine is not the only to blame, it ran Doom3 fucking well, so I expect smth better than this what I have now. And those respawning monsters really eat up my RAM and therefor pefomance - in LA downtown zombie house or Hollywood graveyard - I can tell that respawning is started because game notably slows down and after a while gets choppy to the state of unplayability. (And yes, I couldnt guard both gates the same time, though I maybe did not try as hard as I had to..I noticed if you run all the time from gate to gate, they spawn less near gates, so, theoretically running up and down and killing those who are attacking gate could be the way..maybe..not really into proving this right now:/)

And, yes, it would be really fucking nice if TROIKA added some stealth/talkative options to the game combat areas. I would really be happy if the patch fixed up the sneaking thing - that I could sneak past also monsters, not only humans.

And the last thing, maybe not in this patch, but some time later - I really hope they add history options to charbuilder. They had about 70 histories, right? It would way col if able to play them [without enabling them through console].

Kamaz, what do you mean with "fucking well"? If you have a GF4 you can forget about what you said. Part of the reason is that Doom 3 is OpenGL and Vampire is not. The people who have radeons 9800 and get the same problems have a more legitimate right to gripe.

I think that the histories don't really add anything. I wonder if they didn't have the time to implement them correctly or just chose not to.

Well I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and I get fairly bad performance. If there are more than about 3 people on the screen my framerates drop noticeably. Also, if it's raining, the game slows to a crawl. I don't have the framerate being shown, but when it "stutters" you can tell something is wrong.

I mean, I don't have the best system around anymore, but it is pretty decent. I've got a 3Ghz P4 with 1Gb Ram and two very fast hard drives, so I don't know why I get such shitty performance. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I play the game at 800x600 resolution. Every other game I have plays very well speedwise except Bloodlines (Doom 3, Far Cry, don't have HL2 though). It seems very unacceptable to me, but what can I say, I enjoy the game enough to ignore the framerate problems I have.

Unrealistic hopes for the patch:

- Fix all the annoying slowdown
- Fix the memory leak
- Add the clan histories
- Fix the dialogue errors
- Fix the scripting errors
- Fix the texture errors

Ah, that came out nice and broad...

dojoteef, you should seriously consider higher resoultions, just check them out for the heck of it.

I've noticed only a few dialog errors, a whole bunch of scripting errors. I think most of the stuff from the list will get fixed.

Most of these are experienced by everyone and I doubt they'll be left out. The less apparent bugs such as trance still forcing you to depend on your brawl ability to feed might not get fixed in a first patch.

I simply want proof from Troika that they are actually going to give the game proper support, unlike their previous game ToEE. ToEE has only 2 patches and still a buggy piece of shit. Has Troika done anything about this? Not from what I can see. I don't need another unsupported bug ridden game from Troika. Once I have seen that Troika is actually choosing to support Bloodlines fully with 4 to 5 patches which are out in a timely matter then I will consider to buying it and possibly future Troika titles.

BL doesn't need 4 patches.

It only needs one good.

Besides Arcanum was very legit product with only 1 patch.

The first patch for Arcanum was done for free, over the weekend IIRC. It only fixed the errors that were spilling out of the pot so to speak.

Arcanum got 3 to 4 patches if I remember right and my problems with Troika didn't start with Arcanum, it started with that piece of shit bugfested poorly supported game called Temple of Elemental Evil.

Sry, didn't remember that Arcanum had more than one patch. I never used more than one.
And I skipped ToEE because I didn't have good enought comp at the time.
It must have been really traumatizing experience for you Visceris to start to be so suspicious about Troika.

Hardly traumatic, I just don't like getting screwed over when I spend $50. When I am screwed over I tend to be a little more cautious with my money whenthe same people make another game. Its just not Troika.

Think on this, I haven't bought a Electronic Arts game since Origin died and became this undead thing that spouts off MMORPG expansions for Craptima Online.

It might just be a game, but it cost money and I take my money very seriously.

My bad, then. I thought you did. Well, I heard Volourn is available. :D

Kidding aside, I will be watching how well tech support is for Bloodlines and if and when it reaches toa satisfactory level then I will get the game, though there still be other factors why I won't. One being the setting, rules system used, and the graphical representation of the game.

Sure, there were some in the past, but they're gone. Hopefully, no one will find the bodies.

Well, I heard Volourn is available. :D

He keeps inviting me to cum to his house, but unfortunately for him, my bisexual days are (likely) behind me.

Well, Arcanum was supported technically, with a total of four patches IIRC, although it still had the odd bug even after it. ToEE was what we all know, but Bloodlines does seem to be getting more attention from them, so it's likely patching will be more thorough. With the publicity and reception it's getting, this should be the time to try and make amends for their previous flaws in terms of patching, along with building a solid reputation for technical support. As you said, we'll see.

By the by, will someone tell Tim to get an official Troika forum?

+No doubt. Troika desperately needs their own forums.
