Their PR guy probably advised them against it. It'd be bad for them with the amount of complaints people would post right there on the forum.

Then they're cowards. Make crappy games like TOEE and then run and hide in shame and not take what's coming.

Bug reports. Support. Whatever else. Developers usually, if not always have those.

As it is, there isn't even a support page for Bloodlines. You call that support?

Well I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and I get fairly bad performance. If there are more than about 3 people on the screen my framerates drop noticeably. Also, if it's raining, the game slows to a crawl. I don't have the framerate being shown, but when it "stutters" you can tell something is wrong.

I mean, I don't have the best system around anymore, but it is pretty decent. I've got a 3Ghz P4 with 1Gb Ram and two very fast hard drives, so I don't know why I get such shitty performance. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I play the game at 800x600 resolution. Every other game I have plays very well speedwise except Bloodlines (Doom 3, Far Cry, don't have HL2 though). It seems very unacceptable to me, but what can I say, I enjoy the game enough to ignore the framerate problems I have.

This is very odd; I'm running a 2.4 Ghz, 1 gig of DDR, and a Diamond S80 DDR Raedon 9200 SE AGP. I have everything including the resolution maxed out and the game runs like a dream (very smooth), plus loading times take a max of 30-40 seconds. I know whenever I have problems I always defrag (but you should already know this). I should also point out that I have memory heat sinks, a blow hole and a sys fan (keeping your system cool is very important). If all else fails you might just want to open your case and check for dust bunnies (they're the bane of every system).

EDIT: I should also point out that spec wise your system might look good, but a shitty motherboard like your face, or crappy ram can really screw the pooch all around. Also a deccent power supply also helps things out.

I've been reading the Bloodline forums at that dill-pickle-ation site. I'm not entirely sure I'd like to spring for bandwidth for those folks if I were Troika. There's only so many "I'M IN LOVE WITH JEANETTE/DAMSEL/VENUS/GARY!" threads I could stand, knowing that each one is eating in to my company's overhead.

I've only got high quality parts in my system. My motherboard is a ASUS P4C-800 Deluxe, I've got Corsair TWINX RAM with a 2-2-2-5 latency, Antec True Blue 480W power supply. Also my case is the Cooler Master Wave Mater. So it isn't for lack of high quality parts. I spent a good chunk of money on my system when I built it last year.
