Then why even do a fucking LP? Why not just write some fanfic?

and wasnt there 2 horse anthromorph brothers in BoF4 that where evil? i remember an encounter which begins with you seeing one of them standing and taking a piss off a mountain road.
No, that's in the third one.
I think there might be some of those guys that're sort of a horse-elephant-man hybrid like Rand from BoF2 in the fourth tho

Well, the difference is that all the character 'development' in FF7 is essentially restating their single trait over and over again. There's really no point in going into detail about Barret swearing and being an idiot for the 14th time. VP's dialogue either introduces brand new characters or advances the main story. If you're going to skim over that, then what are you even doing a LP of? I mean, the FF7 LP is about 50% gay jokes and 50% making fun of the plot holes. VP doesn't really have much of either. An FF7 style LP is really only going to work on a cliche jrpg.
I can confess right now that I have never thought about doing the FF7 lp as anything but a lulz thread. Not then, not now, not ever. And I'll be the first to say that the beginning right up to somewhere around leaving Midgar isn't much to be proud of, but it gets better and better and there are actually some updates that I'm VERY fond of even if they're just as extremely crappy done like the rest.

And I do wanna say this; I always make sure that the original dialogue/text is intact and with next to no input from my part so that the people that want to read a real playthrough can get that. Despite all the off-kilter Colin Farrell/Kiefer Sutherland, rape tiger, etc. bullshit, you should be perfectly capable of reading the lp and understand what the game is about and what I'm doing at the moment. But sure, you're going to have to paddle through a lot of shit. Just like I have to paddle through the damn game. It's not a bad deal, really.

Lastly; no, I wouldn't lp Suikoden the same way.

ALSO: I AM EXTREMELY SERIOUS ABOUT LPS!!

VP was awful outside of its battle system, but that alone wasn't enough to carry the game for its entirety. The story was bland and boring despite (from what I remember) it forcing you to jump through hopes in order to get all of it, and there wasn't even much to it. Some of the short stories for the characters were decent, but those good ones were few and far between.
The game had a lot more going for it than just its battle system. The writing wasn't great and neither was the voice acting, but aside from that it was a true breath of fresh air. The story was different in comparison to every other jRPG out and actually built to something intriguing you could look forward to, which was of course Ragnarok. They took Norse mythology and actually did something with it, unlike say a cRPG like Titan Quest which did nothing with a mythology setting. The 2D platforming was also well done for a non-action title and the visuals were fantastic as well as the music, game mechanics and environments. Hardly what I'd call awful.

I actually like the FF7 LP for what it is, a serious playthrough of FF7 would be boring. But I don't know where you get the time or energy to copy all that dialogue. If I do another LP it's going to be of a game with almost no dialogue, like a roguelike or 4x or something.

I fully admit that VP story/characters was awful, the battles grind-tastic and music irritating.
The only redeeming features were the platform gameplay, the nordic mythos, and by far - the fucking battle cries.
It was amazing, that even after the 2000th battle it never got old hearing the cheesy Valkyrie derisive screaming
"It shall be engraved upon your soul!" or "Pathetic!".

Yeah, i got issues.

Its use of Norse mythology was used with some good effect, I'll give you that, but due to the minimalist story, I felt it was more of a missed opportunity than anything else. The platforming stuff was alright as well, but I didn't think there was enough variety in the dungeons to keep it fresh and interesting, so I grew bored of it around the same time I got tired of the battle-system. Though, I will say the platforming stuff was done much better than Xenogears fucking platforming shit.
