won't deliver a game in time?
That's not the real problem here, the fact that they can't afford to is.

Excellent management!
Massive Mismanagement!

That'll probably be the title of their next kickstarter

Grab the Codex by the pussy Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong
...and the main character names are: "Velouria ('Vella') Beastender Tartine" and "Shay Volta"

It's pretty hard to feel like they don't spend 5x what I donated on craft-brews during lunch.

Well, the $6 millions sum is mentioned at least 2 times during the last documentary slice.

They should've just done some PR spin like "hey, now it's episodic! just like that walking dead game everybody splooged all over! come give us money before it's done!"

"January for part one and April for part two" straight from Tim's mouth. It will be episodic.

They suck at marketing too, are you really surprised?
Outside of the codex everyone loves them, so this clearly isn't true.
Past glories, not because of some kind of successful marketing.

Check the KS postings cause it seems that the honey moon is over. And the complainers are definitely not codexers.

Edit: This post was actually for tuluse.

How considerate of them to let us know about this 5 days after their last kickstarter closed.

Well, it kind of makes sense.

Tim: We don't have much left. How'd that Kickstarter go Brad? Did you fall assbackwards into $3.5 million like the last time?
Brad: Only $1.2 million...I don't know what happened! I put up funny pictures and everything.
Tim: Shit, that'll only give us like six more months. OK, time for plan B...
Brad: OK...hey, what about the Broken Chalice development?
**they burst out laughing**

All I know is, honestly, I could have made AT LEAST 10 games in the next five years for all that bread!

Bt
But do you have your very own million-dollar documentary series about how cool you are?

Million Dollar? Bitch, gimme a five dollar webcam, and I'll we'll have the coolest fucking documentary since "Gimme Shelter"!

Heh.

Was thinking the same thing! Suckers buying into their pitch which required 0 investment. Now they will use all that cash for Broken Age to hopefully finish the first half. GG

LOL, holy shit. Funny that the guys that started the kickstarter game craze are going to be the first to completely and massively fuck it up. This is just inexcusable. And wow, they launched the second one just recently, too. Is it not obvious this company is bleeding money now? I mean, that second KS made it obvious to me to begin with, but this seals the deal.

I'm so glad they barely got what their goal was for Chalice, too. I hope it fucks them. Fuck this company and this entire shit.

Speaking of that documentary, wasn't it supposed to be just 100k or something? Why did that get "upgraded" too? These guys are seriously dumb.

Yes, the game budget was actually going to be 300k, not four. The other hundred was for the documentary.

So $300,000 plan turned into like two million and they still couldn't get half the game done on that.

Perhaps the joke video of Schafer blowing money on hookers and burning it and shit was closer to reality than originally it seemed.
