It's horrible popamole bullshit. A black (or perhaps rather brown) stain on the prestigious Star Control heritage. Most star control fans prefer to just pretend the game never happened, which is why you don't hear much about it.

It's... OK. Nowhere near as good as Star Control 2, sadly.

It has its moments (like everything involving the Doog and the K'Tang) but that's about it.

It wasn't bad but the writing did not compare to SC2. Animatronic figures were pretty funny though. Also "2.5d" combat display was crap (but could be disabled) and the ships of the new races were kinda meh. It did try to remain close to sc2 in spirit though. I guess its biggest shortcoming is that it was compared to the great game SC2 was.

Never played that prehistoric Star Control 2, and dont really care enough to try. Star Control 3 was quite awesome, though.
