I'm not angry at the game, I'm annoyed at you playing blind and deaf, the way I would expect some Polygon fag would. You saw the same video we all did.

Also, thanks for hanging onto one word instead of addressing any of my criticisms.

The real reason you're all not "excited" about this video is that it doesn't have a narrative arc. It's a gameplay mechanics video with some lore bits tacked on without context. It's the Josh Sawyer of gameplay videos. Who'd be excited by that?

Last year's 48 minute gameplay video told a complete story which is what made it engaging.

I personally don't get excited by the narrative, not one bit. This is a video game, not a movie or a book. I don't give a fuck about the narrative especially when it revolves around some run-off-the-mill save the princess/world/galaxy/universe or find dad/son/daughter stories. I no longer want to be everybody's errand boy, therapist or saviour of a bunch of NPCs or some other shit. I only get excited when I see some solid and fun game play mechanics, or complex/innovative role-playing mechanics if it's an RPG.

The gameplay looks boring and sluggish though (likely to accommodate the console troglodytes and women on tumblr), and they apparently applied RPG mechanics to combat in the worst way imaginable, so it's likely that late game enemies will be total bullet sponges. In the 48 minute video it took nearly a full pistol magazine to kill a scavenger

I also don't like how the itemization works because it looks like it looks like it will suffer from Borderlands weapon syndrome, or the fact that normal, everyday clothing you can buy in any cheap store grants protection against different types of attacks.

I agree. Advanced one; Deus ex + sex + cinematic narration means nothing to me. But the video below means something to me. Sample video:

In the same game, It's great to listen to 4 different characters and 4 different music. This is a game mechanics but a great innovation for crpg.

Everyone's opinion is different. It's normal.
is the case for me.

All of Bannerlord's footage so far has been people beating each other up in the janky beta, and that game has me more exited than this casual Deus Ex.
Just wait until I've made my "have your own bastards" mod when the SP game is released. Now that's gonna be some next level role-playing!

If this is RPG then so is my grandma!

Also GIGA LOL at statistics! Since when derived stats like poison immunity are meat of RPG system? Ass's Greed is better RPG then this, items here barely have any stat impact

Also I think they gutted yet another base attribute and currently 5 are left in life (Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical and Cool), few were once again renamed. I guess R-P-G is for CDProjektRed what honesty is to whore, both swear in it, both overuse it and both have very little of it. At this rate, Fallout 3 will be more loyal to source material then this thing

Warband has a better combat system than Dark Souls, so...

Attacking is slow, and the animations and the way your character runs around all the time makes no attacks feel like they have any weight behind them. There is also very little variation in attacks, from what I can tell, there are three types of strikes: horizontal slash, vertical slash, and poke. Some weapons modify the pattern by removing certain attacks. There are no combos as far as I can tell, and the lack of a stamina system, the slow movement speed, and no dodges make the duels pretty boring slashfests, even when watching battles on youtube with very enthusiastic commentators.

You should try it before claiming it's boring. Once you start getting some decent gear and your character is skilled enough, battles become pretty fun.
The attack speed isn't as slow as you're making it out to be, it's sligthly slower than DS (unless your talking about DS3).
There's only 2 types of attack in DS and there's no combos. Plus Warband as more skill base mechanics to compensate, such as chambering.
The weapons in Warband are tied to alot of stats and are influenced by quite a few factors - wich make your choice of weapons and how you attack an important matter.
Not having a stamina system does not make a game's melee combat bad. Like all mechanics in a game it must be carfully though out if it's necessary or not and if it's implementation would enchance the gameplay. And in Warband's case it probably wouldn't since you are expected to partake in large scale battles.

Alas if you don't seem keen on giving it chance than try one of these 3 games: Dark Messiah, Nioh, Severance: Blade of Darkness.
These I garantee you have better combat than any FromSoft game.

The gameplay looks nice, but it's anyone guess what the narrative and writing will be like. I'm fine with it being an open world GTA-esque with some RPGlite elements, because that's halfway what I expected it to be anyway.
Some people said it was downgraded, I think the lighting and textures don't really look as good as the older demos but you can barely tell in such a low fidelity stream anyway. I guess that was inevitable.

But you have different playstyles, wich allow you to complete quests accordingly.
Plus C&C! Everyone knows only true RPG's have that.
So the game must truly be an RPG!

For the level of money, time and manpower that was spent on this thing we should have had half-decent adoptation of PnP Cyberpunk married with GTA style city to explore and Daggerfall or Gothic lvl of simulated world. If company's priority was making best game and RPG instead of worrying will someone in radious of 2 miles from Marcin Iwinski eat a hotdog (today found out that you're not allowed to eat meat in company because, and I quote: ''Marcin Iwinski is vegetarian and so is his company'') or how to fellate ego of worldwide trannies, maybe we would've got that

What we'll get is probably Deus Ex: Cyber Haitian Tranny Simulator, high on hype

Last years 48 minutes game play was way better, now it feel like they cut half of the things they promised or showed in that video because of "vision".

Yeah, or because if they can't manage game production or trannies well enough at least they can manage H Y P E! And no bug or dull gameplay is allowed to endanger billion$ worth H YYY P E!

7 (s e v e n) years of jerking since first tease trailer! I wish it was bad, memes would at least then be good. Itz painfully meh, itz ruined orgasm

Also back when the 48 minutes video comes out, I was saying something like "the dialogue choices seems very limited, hope they improve that"

And here we are, the first two dialogue choice they show in the game play video both have only one option, nothing to choose from. Why the fuck do I need to choose when there is only one option? just make it auto talk already.

It seems that scene would continue even if PC won't say anything, you are choosing to say them without expecting much of an answer...RPing I suppose :P

The prospect of this game was exciting back in 2013 when they said they were gonna do a super hardcore rpg with super high production values.

Now it looks castrated like trannies they are catering to

What else was expected from the company that made TW3, though? This was never going to be a hardcore RPG. It was foolishly optimistic to think so.

Ahh.. It seems theres no skill checks, only the background dialogue.
And most dialogue goes, Background, Choose A or B , question.

Maybe i'm missing something..

That's exactly what it is, the dialogue system is basically the same as Witcher 3 and the "you can interrupt dialogue in the middle of it by doing something like try to grab your enemy's gun" function seems to be cut as well.

Thats huge blow if they cut out special interactions, not that i expected those to be a thing outside of stories missions.. But still. Also
I really feels that voice acting for the main characters gonna hold back what this game could've been in terms of dialogue system.

Edit: Also i only noticed now that there's one less attribute.. I wonder why..
