Lmao wtf
Dear modder, it seems that you got lost somewhere here. The fact that you do not like some of the design decisions, doesn't that those need any kind of FIXING. Insinuating that game is somehow broken and needs fixing, because it is not to your taste is really bad faith.
Keep reading, it gets much better.

The Virgin Purist Shill said:
Then about TMPE and importing real world maps, again, you got lost a bit here.
TMPE is not material for core game feature, average player doesn't need that much complexity. Even people who use it, generally just use some of it's basic core functions.

TMPE is Traffic Manager: President Edition, a mod that allows for fine editing how traffic works. Then came the response:

The Chad TMPE Enjoyer said:
Tell that to: 2,559,220 of current subscribers of TMPE mod at the Steam workshop.

Dude isn't kidding. TMPE has nearly 2.6 million subscribers:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1637663252

SteamDB says that the estimated number of people who own Cities: Skylines is somewhere in between 9,2 to 12,5 million. That means that somewhere around a quarter of approximately ELEVEN MILLION PEOPLE who own the game are using this mod. And since not all people who own the game are actually playing it, the active percentage of users is likely much higher.

TL;DR: Paradox shill got BTFO by modders.

It was revealed that not only does the game have fully modelled teeth, they are rendered literally all the time at maximum quality. More importantly this is the case for everything related to characters: none of the character meshes have any LOD variants.
A single character even before we add hair, clothing and accessories is about 56 thousand vertices, which is a lot. For context the average low-density residential building uses less than 10 thousand vertices before yard props and other details are added.
[...]
These densely packed clotheslines are made from 25K vertices per piece and feature dozens of individually modelled clothespins, or laundry boys as we call them in Finland. There’s also an even more dense variant featuring over 30K vertices.
[...]
This mesh of a pile of logs is similarly only used in the shadow rendering pass, and features over 100K vertices. It is the highest poly model in the game I’ve encountered so far, though I haven’t played for more than a few hours.
[...]
Renderdoc’s performance counters view indicates that many of the draw calls affect between zero and under 100 pixels in the shadow map, and the teeth are back again. The game seems to treat every single 3D object as a potential shadow caster on all quality settings regardless of size or distance.

The devs were hoping that unity DOTS was in a functioning state, it was not so they had to scramble and imporvise.
The teeth are not the problem. Paradox will release a Sims like game and city skylines 2 will have some connection to it.The detailed models will be used in that game.

Colossal Order's CEO about the state of Cities Skylines 2: If you dislike the simulation, this game just might not be for you.

Creative Assembly and the people that work for Paradox really are peas in a pod.

Not even the Paradrones are taking this one lying down.
Also he "apologized" lol:

Yeah, sounds like more of an excuse for having the game released way too early.

Which unfortunately a common theme for a lot of games recently (including Lamplighters).

To everyone here: I get there's anger and disappointment, but I really need you to be respectful to each other. You and I are part of this community and we are the ones making the choices on how we want this experience to be. There is enough negativity in the world that we should at least try to make this community a positive experience by keeping the discussions, even the hard ones, constructive. We're not perfect, but let's be kind to each other.

Time for a sing-along I think.

(Hello, hello, now I think we should all sing "We shall overcome")
