Why is Jason Anderson wasting his time on this shit and not working on Arcanum 2 with his Troika buddies Cain and Boyarsky? InXile and Obisidian are both under Microsoft.

At this point an Arcanum sequel would resemble Clockwork Revolution/The Outer Worlds. This is who they are now.

I'm too lazy to even look up when this was announced, but either this is in development hell, or ambitious as fuck.

I'm leaning towards the former, but I do think that Fargo might have SLIGHTLY higher standards than Uncle Ferg.

I've seen nothing but positive comments on Glassdoor for the past few years. I think they're just having fun and not being in a big hurry about it since MS doesn't expect them to be.

inXile games have absolutely been miles better than Obshitian slop in the last 10 years or so. Wasteland 2:DC is phenomenal, W3 is great and BT4 is at least playable.

Also, not that the "beloved veteran of the industry" label carries any weight anymore, after disgraces like Numanuma and Outer Worlds, but at least all the people leading the Clockwork Revolution development are experienced men, as opposed to the inept feminist diversity hires in Obsidian or the Cthulhu spawns in Bioware.

I personally value WL2:DC more but both games are genuinely great RPGs.

Too bad CR seems to be clockwork-punk, clockwork robots have always seemed eye-rollingly goofy to me, but I am actually looking forward to hearing more about this game, unlike anything Obshitian has been making or planning lately (altho, to be fair, I haven't played Grounded or Pentiment yet, those two look less sloppy at a glimpse).

Because of NumaNuma. Potentially it had everything (money, time, writers, interesting universe) to become THE RPG of an entire generation, instead it became one of the biggest kickstarter disappointments and borderline criminal fraud. And yet both Wastelands are great.

They're merely bitter that InXile is making an Action RPG rather than a sequel to Codex GotY 2020 Wasteland 3.

im hyped for clockwork

Over five minutes. Seems like quite a vote of confidence from Microsoft. Those leakers who said the game looked cool weren't wrong.

No release date? lmao it's been 6(?) years since Wasteland 3 and Bard's Tale 4.
