Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I've heard that the non-promotion is specifically because of how Epic operates: Because Epic pays upfront for a period of exclusivity, the devs have already been paid and see no need to spend their time and money advertising it when they could save their efforts for the Steam release.

Yeah better let it sit, use the Epic customers (lol) as your public betatesters, and make a real announcement once the game goes to Steam and GoG (if their retarded curators don't reject it), where normal people shop for games.

EDIT:
Lol I just realized this thread is a year old

Finished it. It turns out explosive are OP. They AoE is greater than the detection area of the enemies (when you are sneaking), and it deals 20 damage - so it kills absolutely any enemy no exception armor or not.

I had some stock. To kill the final boss and his escort, I put one on his patrol path, and another one near a group of two that could hear me. Boom. Boom. Both groups annihilated and it was considered “sneak kill” for my secondary mission because no time for alert. ^^

No point releasing on steam IMO. would just end up under a mountain of negative reviews.
That sounds like an ingenious business tactic. Sell low-effort C-team trash wrapped up in glossy graphics to Epic for that guaranteed exclusivity bonus, and not bother with the pitiful sales and review-bombing a Steam release would get. Just pocket the cash!

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but actually I want to put here this review :

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/corruption-2029-review

Particularly hilarious :

To make it even worse, I'm convinced Corruption is a liar. I think it lies about hit percentages. Experimentally I reloaded one shot that was supposedly a 50% certainly 17 times. I got tired of reloading the game before I got a hit. Another shot, supposedly 75% accurate, failed nine times before I gave up. This is possibly just horrendously bad luck - we're all somewhat aware of how bad our brains are at understanding odds, and in any case it's common for games to present misleading numbers to compensate, or create a sense of drama. Smoke and mirrors are fine to an extent. But combined with the consequences for missing, it meant that I quickly found myself simply not bothering with any shot that wasn't 100%. That may even be intentional, but it meant that my squad's idea of "tactics" was 90% walking directly up to targets and choosing whose gun barrel would go in which orifice before firing.

OK, so the reviewer does not understand what a seed is. A bit unprofessional from video game reviewer but I can cut some slack : we all discovered three years or more into a new job that we did not know something fundamental to said job. Plus clearly from the comments she played JA2, Silent Storm and Phoenix Point so she has tactical creed.

What is even more hiliarious is how unable she is to admit being wrong (two examples among several) :

Feels like debatting with half the Codex, though a good chunk of the Codex would just stop interacting with a thread where they got proven wrong or just try to change subject :).
