Is that the whole game world? Because that's fucking pathetic.
Does not seem so. It is not the whole page.

Part of the map, that circle on the island is probably the corporate center.
The source is "The World of Cyberpunk 2077 deluxe edition" on Amazon Japan.

They've said before that the map won't be huge horizontally, but there will be tons of buildings and verticality. If anything the map is great because it supports CPR's statements...

They also said it would include the wasteland around the city. Which version of the game was that though?

Standin' pretty. In this dust that was a city.
Map size really depends on verticality here, since the setting mostly demands high rise buildings, but unlike car oriented GTAs, those will also need to be enterable. It's a major challenge, if you compare it to other non fantasy games that struggled to even present tiny areas in such way, Deus Ex series for instance.

The discussion about map size is trivial since the developer have even mentioned that the city is leveled vertically. It is only non-trivial if there is an expectation towards the aspect of exploration of the surrounding wastelands and transverse to other cities, but that was excluded from the beginning.

Looks big to me. You want huge open world games try AC: Odyssey or Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, don't complain their worlds are too big or empty tough or you will look like a jackass.

I wonder why the thread is still in the RPG section when it should be in the gaming one since is a FPS with immersive sim elements ((those are dumbed down as well))
Ah i seen the game live at the lucca comix and games and it looked bad. Seems they downgraded the graphic a lot and what i saw there was actually the full demo of the deep dive video they show.

The game was dull. Like really Dull. V acts like a teenager that try to be edgy and cool in a desperate manner. The gameplay is just what it is an hybrid between an RPG and a shooter doing a poor job a both. Also i noticed there was no large crowd in the streets maybe it was the zone but i think they tone down theyr crown archievement about advanced crowd system.

Frankly this game is very mediocre and is one of the cases where the developers attempts to dumb down a franchise in order to get a large audience. They did dumbed down the roleplay elements and also the shooting looks bad so it fails also as FPS.

No actually. Acting like that in a true cyberpunk pen and paper play will end with your quick death. Take risks is a thing. Wanting to do rambo and act like a badass gunblazing and running is something that will get killed you if not in the istance shortly after. Instead in Cyberpunk2077 those kind of sequences are mundane in the end is a FPS so it must have an huge focus on shooting or the FPS crowd won't buy the game. And since the game is aimed to that crowd you can see where cd projekt decided to rape the setting and the spirit of the pen and paper to deliver some cinematic action game.

And they've already backtracked and said they misunderstood the question and it won't be possible. How much of an ESL-tard does one have to be to misunderstand this question? Certainly not someone I'd want in a PR position.
