I mean you live in city it would be weird if character who is about to become CEO would still live in hovel.
Also remember that Cyberpunk is all about style and flair. So having your own crib with hoes seems something up in Cyberpunk2077 alley lore wise.

We probably would get this demo at Gamescom (hopefuly) it seems that the demo is very polished so there is no reason to hide it from general public. Doing press first they have free advertisement from all the press sites which will write their previews i guess

From what i read it will definitely wont be "GTA V", and in most previews they are saying that it differ from Witcher 3 a lot.

Yes, building hype, and also doing the traditional games media a favor by giving them a little bit of exclusivity. There's typically an embargo period and when that ends everybody gets to blast the gameplay footage on their YouTube channels.
