This is too small of a delay for the game not to have issues. They probably shortened it because of the holidays.

By this period in Twitcha 3's lifecycle we already saw plenty of actual ingame footage. They released 35 minutes of gameplay footage nearly a year before the game actually released:
Has there been anything like this for cyberpunk?
It's pretty clear that they're not really that confident in Cyberpunk after changing it from An RPG to an ARPG to a GTA clone, while TW3 was pretty much gritty FANTASY Assassin's Creed.

The stated reason for the delay is neither content creation nor bugfixing, but testing & optimizing the game on certain launch platforms. That sounds like a reasonable task to complete in three weeks. The interesting question then is why they chose not to bite the bullet and release the game on time anyway. Fucking up the PS3 port didn't hurt Skyrim that much in the long run!

That could very well be a bullshit excuse, y'know.

Optimization and testing doesn't prevent you from releasing gameplay footages, even if it's just staged scenari.

Chad Larian: puts their AAA game in early access for everyone to watch it be developed because Swen is so confident that he'll make a good product
Virgin CDProjekt: ashamed of their non-RPG, hides it from the world, repeatedly delays it, dangles Keanu Reeves infront of peoples' faces so they forget to ask about gameplay footage

This being the third delay and the company being CDPR makes me hopeful that we won't have to wait another month for post patching, but I doubt they would decide to delay it further just to iron out a few unoptimized shaders for a console or something.

Correct. They also stated that they really want to launch the game on all platforms at the same time and that they will use this extra time to further polish (always a pun when CDPR is involved) the PC version.

Why don’t you go researching instead of relying on the retards in this thread who mere pages ago were asking where the whores were, because they forgot there’s an entire whore gang?

Yes there’s speech skills, or at least CDPR claimed there were. Stuff like “cool” and your intelligence/tech skills will open up dialogue choices last I checked.

I actually try found something on the subject but couldn't find much other than some people on Cyberpunk reddit mentioning that there's no social skills indeed and useless articles. Also i checked the stats and attributes itself, couldn't find anything other than Cool affecting conversation. But nothing more..

Last opportunity for the developers to correct the aesthetics so that Night City resembles its true self:

It's fucking bollocks all the excuses made for the aesthetics of this game. It's gonna be a steaming pile of bull spunk.
I agree
In the Cyberpunk genre, the main character is the city itself.
Cyberpunk cities were supposed to be eldritch abominations that devour humanity in order to expand themselves.
Throughout history, humans have always linked the concept of salvation to the space above their heads
"Look at the sky"
"Heaven in sky"
"God in sky"
"Praise the sun and the moon"
But in Cyberpunk when man looks up, he no longer sees it.
He no longer sees the sun.
He no longer sees the starry night sky.
He no longer sees a place to seek salvation.
All he sees are iron, concrete, glass, and company advertisements that promise happiness to their customers.

To be fair what gameplay can they really show?

All the quest choices would be spoilers and also just driving around in the city will ruin the experience of discover for the players. Plus mainstream doesn't care about branching quests and stuff like that. Combat seems like RPG combat which is always tolerable no matter what. I mean we've all played VTMB and Deus EX, etc

Make a Walkthought of 1 or 2 really well designed quests, that has multiples branches in the start, middle and end of the quest. Show what a stealth build can do , what a speech build can do , what a tech build can do and what a combat build can do. Then show what change between them during and after the quest is complete.

Edit: Then you show minor details like how your background affects those quests, if had good or bad reputation with a faction maybe makes harder or easier , etc.

The problem is not what they're showing or what they're creating, they can do whatever the fuck they like. The problem is what they're promising and being really stubborn about, which is claiming (numerous times) that this is a HC CRPG.

Witcher 3 had the same propaganda going around it. I enjoyed the game and it was a fabulous (wink wink) production but it wasn't a great CRPG, it was far away from it. So that's what personally annoys the fuck out of me, is this a fully pledged CRPG or not ?

The rest are just mumbo jumbo by fans that are assuming stuff and they convinced themselves that this is going to be great, like the guy that posted right above me.

I want it to be good, so that we witness American developers and journos complain that Polacks should not be allowed to work that hard.

Tbh, I suspect the rl future will be extremely colorful in order to charm and bewitch us with glamor to hide the unsavory innards.
The entire aesthetic they're going for is ripped straight from big east asian cities with some near-future tech.
Blade Runner (original) was a grim gritty Kowloon style aesthetic, Cyberpunk is going for regular stroll through Shanghai/Tokyo/Seoul but with robot trannies.

I want to read video game articles about games that feature women with big tiddies and complex RPG mechanics. I don't want to know shit about the devs themselves, ok? The less I know, the better. Imagine a reinforced concrete wall between me and the devs getting Doritos injected directly into their bloodstream.

I agree.
RPGs are like sausages, if you like them you're better off not knowing how they are made.

RPG fans are like mushrooms. Kept in the dark and fed shit.
