This is apparently some of the perks you can get:
  • You can't touch this - make yourself immune to the effects of your own grenades
  • Mech Looter - you can loot scrap from drones, robots and mechs and have a 30% chance of finding weapon parts.
  • R&D - the said skill that enables you to upgrade items to the legendary quality level.
  • Hard motherfucker - at the start of a fight, armor and resistance are increased by 20% for 10 seconds.
  • STREET BRAWLER: "Guerilla"- Kiling foes increases crit hit by 60% for 10 secs
  • REFLEX : HANDGUNS: "Redacted" - Land a critical hit and get an armour boost for 20 secs
This is straight up MMO kind of shit.

"Make yourself immune to the effects of your own grenades" How does it even make sense?

Yes, I mean if you can make yourself immune, than you should be able to be immune from any grenade. But maybe the grenades recalibrate or something like in that episode in Star Trek when they fight Borg, but then again - how does that work with actual explosives and shrapnel?

ashamed of their non-RPG, hides it from the world, repeatedly delays it, dangles Keanu Reeves infront of peoples' faces so they forget to ask about gameplay footage
Kinda blows my mind there are morons on codex that think CDP didn't release enough gameplay footage.
I mean, is all this shit really not enough? Are you fucking kidding me?

You can like it or dislike it but bitching about no footage...CDP is publishing way more stuff than they should, if anything.

The only thing I'd like is an official RTX comparison so people can stop losing their shit over Ampere. It's good tech but it's not mandatory to enjoy the game or anything. They've shown enough.

In the Cyberpunk genre, the main character is the city itself.

Are you possibly referring to this book:

Published in 1980.

"Stu Cole is struggling to keep his nightclub, Club Anesthesia, afloat in the face of mob harassment when he's visited by a manifestation of the city of San Francisco, crystallized into a single enigmatic being."

Infinitron can you move this to the proper subforum please? Maybe the public library one is a good fit for interactive movies.

Reminder that this game would have near zero defenders if CDPR was located in France. They defend it entirely because it's eastern european, that's their only qualification for whether it's good or not. They love tranny clownworld cutscene simulators as long as it's made by eastern yuros.

I want it to be good, so that we witness American developers and journos complain that Polacks should not be allowed to work that hard.
I want it to be good so I can enjoy playing it. People getting butthurt would just be the cherry on top.

I dunno, man, of the videos you posted only the first one is a contiguous chunk of gameplay, and that's the one from two years ago. More recent videos have been feature-focused, be it braindancing or guns or cars etc. I guess it doesn't make much of a difference, I'm pretty sure I'm getting it already, but I'd have liked to see a newer comprehensive slice of gameplay and set my expectations accordingly.

Just realised there's a silver lining to this delay. If the December release pushes CBP out of 2020's GOTY running, you can watch CDPR swipe Swen's awards next year.

If you mean Keeley's 'The Game Awards', their cutoff date is November 15th. So Cyberpunk was out even before this delay.

Does CD Projekt ever try to come up with worlds of their own?

I do not know why they even needed Cyberpunk 2077 at all unless they really loved the setting

If I recall correctly, Cyberpunk was massive before the fall of the iron curtain so they're extremely fond of the IP.

I can wait another 3 weeks to watch the codex meltdown and massive cope.

And people like me, who'll violently whiplash between the two.

The perk name makes it pretty explicit. You have two hyped feet.

"Redacted" - Land a critical hit and get an armour boost for 20 secs.

Is this Destiny or smth?

They should've dropped these nonsensical and boring perks and made everything about implants. Just rip off Deus Ex skills and progression and add tons of augmentations.

That probably will be CDPR's next step. Dyeing their hair orange and crying about western black lives mattering.

Blade Runner (original) was a grim gritty Kowloon style aesthetic, Cyberpunk is going for regular stroll through Shanghai/Tokyo/Seoul but with robot trannies.

Blade Runner was only one side of the Cyberpunk that Gibson described in his books and the latter looked cool in movies like "Ghost in a shell" and "Battle angel Alita".

GitS has a similar aesthetic and concepts as Blade Runner, GUNNM is not really Cyberpunk although it took some core concepts especially in the first couple arcs until Gally leaves the Scrapyard.
I'd qualify it as post apocalyptic Sci-fi more than Cyberpunk.

CDPR made one good RPG (first Witcher) then made two popamole action shit with vague RPG elements and everyone sucks their dicks now.

Guess the way combat looks wasn't the only thing they took from Borderlands.
Whats the source of this shit because I find it hard to believe?
